My friend told me to go check out this antique shop. He said the lady a bunch of cool old knives and some custom ones, so I stopped in to check it out. I’m glad I didn’t bring more money!! Ended up getting a survival knife with interchangeable blade. Anyway she had a 1910 straight razor new in the box super cool, but I couldn’t drop $50 on it at this time. I told my buddy I’m going to get it someday. Today he walked in and gave me this one from Germany and said do you have the nads to use it? I took it home hit it on the strop and lathered up. That was brutal I had to stop after three scrapes. It’s safe to say I’d have been a beard guy back then. Anyone ever use one? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I night latched and changed out the small brass bolt,it's the bolt and nut that increases/decreases pan tension. The best I could do was between 4-5 pounds. No biggie i'll have a dozen mb's buy next season.

It looks well feed.I hate when I get one in the mouse trap.

looks like it stepped on the pan.? What are you setting your pan tension at? I'm have a hard time getting my duke traps pans between 3-4 pounds. I'm going to pick up a dozen mb550,but need a few more things to get me started. It's been fun reading about trapping and seeing yours and others post keeps me going. Thanks for sharing

I agree someone released them and with the one on fire island I’d agree with the dec doing it. They’ve been trying to eradicate the red fox on fire island for years. I would hope they where smart enough to put spaded dogs not breeding ones. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Plenty of food for them to eat.The problem will be when a yote snatches a lap dog in front of the family. There's a youtube video with a biologist explaining the deference between urban yotes and rural yotes .I'll post it if I can find it again it's very interesting

I just reread this thread and don't see where anyone said they hate coyote? I'll say this long Land and the 5 borough's is no place for yotes to be introduced by anyone for any reason.

If they did it was another stupid mistake. They really should release bobwhite qual to kill off some of the damn ticks at least they where native to the island. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The East port duck farm closed a few years ago. I’m pretty sure it will be condo”s or townhouses soon. The farmer in bridgehampton made it pretty clear he wanted something done about the deer. That fence had to be close to a million bucks to put up and didn’t cover his whole property. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don’t think there’s any livestock raised on Long Island. Maybe a couple duck farms. It’s mostly taters and corn. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If they where put there by humans I put my money on a farmer. Between the deer geese and now turkey the crop damage has got to be a big problem. Those wire fences they put up ain’t cheap a coyote is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Found this butchering a deer(bloody pictures)

My brother has only been hunting a few years now and still get excited when he sees any deer. Plus this is on Long Island which is over run with deer and he had a tag for it. I’d of shot it even if it was a small ass doe. The smallest deer I ever shot where a pair of 14 pound does good eating some people still hunt for the meat. I butcher his deer for him most of the time like I said he new to it. I didn’t get a deer this year so he gave it to me. He only eats the back straps which is fine with me. Nothing ever goes to waste. If I still hunted the way I use to I’d stack those small ass deer up like cord wood. I’d even shoot as many old ass does as possible. It’s called thinning the herd something most wont do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Good thing I’m 100% against keeping any wildlife captive for any reason what so ever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

He said it was walking around with two does.It was the first one that gave him a shot. I've eaten plenty of deer that had broken bones or scare tissue, but this looked more like a birth defect. -
