    Had a decent day in the park. No deer but plenty of signs. I went up a mountain this morning with out a doubt I walk through a few bedding areas. Got to a small Rigde that looked good on the map, but there where small pine trees everywhere. Made a mistake and tried to go down what I knew was steep busted my butt getting out of there. Rain now going to slow roll down to my pond.

    29 degrees se wind frost. The calling for a rain snow mix to all rain this afternoon. Going to the the park to try a new ares. Good luck everyone!!!

    Just got back for the park. Pretty good day. I bumped one 240 yards from where I was going to sit for and hour in the morning. It blow three times. That was it for that area. Snowed and windy up until noon. Worked my way across and along a beaver pond lots of signs but no deer. I don’t think there chasing just yet up here anyway. They seem to be still looking. Found all the signs at 1800 feet nothing higher very little lower. I’m really starting to believe this 1/3 theory. Will see tomorrow. Sorry for the long post just a little excited. Heading out to see if I can call in a gray fox I’ve been seeing on my cams.

    It was a pine marten not a weasel.

    To be honest I’ve never seen a weasel before other then that one. It was twice the size of this one under my house. But looked the same.

    I really enjoyed the crockpot venison chili the other night, so I made it again with beef. This is going to be how I make chili for now on. I added corn bread on top. It was suggested on the package. Came out great.

    It sure looked like one. It was black and white I always thought they where small this one was as long as a cat.

    I’m calling it a day. Been sitting in rain all day only thing I saw was a weasel. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

    It wasn’t as bad as I thought. I still hunted the bottom of the mountain today. Saw lots of rubs,scraps and poop but no deer. Everything is going in the dryer hopefully I’ll be back in by 3:30.

    I’m heading to the park. I’ll still hunt until I’m soaked. I can’t sit in here another day.

    I’m sitting here in my house listening to the rain wondering if it’s to late to put up a ground blind. I’m definitely going to build a permanent one for next year, but that doesn’t help me now. If I put one up today will it spook the deer on my property?

    Rain coming down petty solid. Going to give it a few hours then head back to the park. Week two is looking wet. Ran out of likes congrats to all the successful!!!

    Just had two jakes walk by. They knew something wasn’t right and left it a hurry.

    Picked this up at Walmart today. So far it’s the best one I’ve found. Now I don’t feel like a light bulb walking through the woods and it was only $5.

    It’s a little misty and very warm 53 degrees with light sw wind. Going to head in around 3:30. Nice buck diyhunter!!!

    I would. I was going to shoot a raccoon last night that came in to a bird call. But I’m still looking into recipes for one.
