Good luck are you still bow hunting or shotgunning? I had a few guys back out on the shoty hunts so i'll be doing standby hunts from Friday thru Monday.

it's on 30a if you go to Johnstown it's a little north. There's an Italian restaurant "romana's" if your looking for a place sit and eat. They serve pizza but I got the dinner a few times good eats. Ya here in Suffolk co. there's plenty of places.I eat pizza 3-4 times a week and never in the same place.lol I looked at a few houses off 119 stewards landing and powerhouse rd. had two on each I was interested in but the owners wouldn't budge.

Gloversville "house of pizza" the only problem is by the time I get to my house it's ether gone or cold. lol I've been trying frozen pizza but so far. There's not much in the immediate area.

You could use your camp as a base camp and branch out from there. I personally wouldn't sleep in the woods it's just not for me .My house is on the northern/southern boarder so two hours ether way i'm good. I've only been up there for a few seasons and still trying to put it figure things out. when I move up there for good it's on i'll be exploring until I found some game rich areas.So far I've been concentrating on the northern zone I just keep moving around until I see what I'm looking for. The good thing is there's plenty of land to explore.

12 with -6 feels like temps. here in Suffolk co. -4 with -26 feels like up in fulton co.

I saw this 10 pt. The year before with only one side he was pushing a doe around me for over an hour. Finally my brother walked up and they went on there way. Same tree a year later and he was following a doe perfect broadside shot at 35yrds. If you look at the antler in my hand you can see the damage. He must have gotten hit by a car his back leg was busted and heeled up three inches short. He scored 134 before deductions and up 128 after. The guy that scored him said he would have been in the mid 140’s had there been no damage. A funny thing was after I got down and walked over to him the doe was standing next to him.

I like all birds but I love seeing chickadees.They seem to get the closet and are always entertaining.A few years ago at first light I saw one pop out of a little hole in the side of a tree and go about it's day.The colder it is the more I see them. Chick-a-dee dee dee !!!!

I have a primos turbo dog you can have it. I had it for a few years and had to replace the remote so now when you turn it on it takes a little time to find the speaker other then that it works fine.If I didn't have the patient of a pitbull in a butcher shop i'd still be using it.I went with a FoxPro banshee and i'm very happy with it. like I said your more then welcome to it.

you are correct your suppose to check your deer in a the check station.

how did you prepare the ribs? they look good!! I gave up on them a few years back they where always greasy
