Is there anyone out there who gets their NJ bow hunting license but lives in the NYC area? I hunted Stewart this year which can be a pain if you scout a spot but it is taken by another hunter. The private land laws in NJ seems more laid back. In summary, if the land is not posted you can hunt it. I would rather drive 90 mins to NJ and have my own area than drive to Stewart and fight for my spot.

Would any NYC hunters be interested in heading up to either Stewart or Sterling one weekend for a morning or late hunt?

Weird question but does anyone use tape while hunting. I was thinking of using it for a few different things but worried about the scent. Most tapes have a super strong plastic smell. Any suggestions?

I have it down now. I called DEC today and they are going to send me my DMPs. They forgot to include them with my other tags. Appreciate the help.

Well I just realized that they forgot to put my DMPs in the envelope. This makes much more sense now. I thought it was strange that I received three letters...Two had tags and the third had the same two general information sheets as the other envelopes with no tags inside.

Thanks for the warm welcome. That link is way clearer than the ones I have seen. So WMUs only apply to the deer management permits and the regular and either sex can be used state wide?

Brand new to hunting and the one thing I can not find is easy to under stand regulations as far as when, what sex and where I can hunt. My two WMUs are 1c and 3m. Can I only hunt in those two areas or can I hunt in different WMUs depending on the time and antlered vs non antlered deer I would harvest. I received permission to hunt private land in 3F but after I applied for my WMU. I have the Bow/muzz either sex tag and reg season...are there dates that I can use one tag and not the other. A few tags I saw pictures of had the WMU listed on the tag but mine does not. Is that normal? No one that I know hunts so I apologize for the dumb questions.
