what NY trips do you have planned for 2018?
Jdubs replied to Robhuntandfish's topic in General Chit Chat
Mt. Jo is a great hike for kids. Easy hike with awesome views up top. God Bless those 'people' who love 100 mile endurance runs. The rest of us mere mortals actually know what pain feels like! -

I'd like to finish hiking the ADK 46ers. Stuck at 31/46 and need 4 or 5 trips to git r done. -
Long weekend. I'll be one and done so had to make it a good one.
-
That's about when I went to bed albeit without any beers. I'll need something good by tomorrow night.
-
I'm shocked it lasted long enough for a pic!
-
Thought I was seeing a mirage, but no: my bev store really did get another case of CBS, if anyone is looking. Saratoga County.
-
Very pleasant dessert brew. Aroma of chocolate milk yet a smooth malt taste that goes down easy (only 5% ABV). Now to find where the chocolate chips cookies are stashed!
-
Beer game is on point tonight, Fletch.
-
I've been eyeballing that 4 pack for a bit and have heard all good things, just as you said.
-
Ugh, that sucks! If you can scrounge up a 6-pack somewhere, drop the coin and ask questions later. My local crack-brew dealer had them at $14.50/6.

Willettized Wednesday. Cheers.

That's saying something! Great mix of brews in those pics.

TF, you'll love this. New client comes in with his wife and asks when the restaurant downstairs opens. Subject of beer comes up and he asks, "So what do you like?" I tell him stouts and the Founders CBS is my new favorite. Then he says,"Really, I've got 10 of 'em in my garage, want one?" Epic way to kick things off!

Heard that Speedway Stout is a mighty fine brew.
-
You might be my brother from another mother!
-
KBS is definitely on my 'To Do' list in April. Looks like you enjoyed a great meal and brews tonight. Salut!
-
How about the Wake Up Dead Nitro? I saw some singles in the cooler.

I know this is going to come as a shock to all of you, but: I Love Stouts! Even better if they are barrel-aged. TF turned me on to my new all-time favorite, the recently released Founders CBS (no Biz, it is not a "milkshake"! ). Which stouts top your list of favorites? These can be pricey beers, so I'd love to see your input before the next shopping trip. A few of the ones I haven't tried yet are the Bell Black Note Stout 2017, Ballast Victory at Sea Barrel-aged and the Yeti Imperial Stout. Not sure I'll fork over $9 for a 12oz. bottle of Dogfish Head World Wide Stout, but heard it's very good. So far, my top rated Stout brews would be: 1. Founders CBS (easy choice), 2. Goose Island Bourbon County 2017, 3. Lagunitas Willettized Coffee Stout, 4. Founders Breakfast Stout, 5. Brooklyn Dark Chocolate Stout. Honorable Mention: Weyerbacher Sunday Morning Stout and Victory Java Cask barrel-aged. Tried and liked some of the Stone barrel-aged stouts and they were ok. Ommegang's Lovely, Dark and Deep wasn't very deep to me. More than one Stone Xocoveza would likely give me heartburn.

Well, since I made scrambled eggs for dinner, this seemed appropriate.

Breakfast for dinner.

I am literally about to make scrambled eggs for dinner too! Needs hot sauce!
-
Dude...serious? Less manscaping and you'll figure it out.

Thanks! Seems to work out better when I take two 1/4 lb patties and mix them together into one big 1/2 lb burger. Buy that beer with confidence!
