Made it to level 12!!!!

I stopped drinking most of those great beers when they messed with my acid reflux. I tried making my own wines and it became the most addictive hobby I have ever done. My wines have wone 15 state and 2 international awards.

Unless you have a few years of photos, I'm going to say 3.5. His antlers really don't have the mass of a 5 year old.

I second that motion!! I use the Slick Trick magnums and they fly like my field tips. I do use NAP Gobbler Getters for turkeys. They are the only mech. head I trust.

I feel the same way when people tell me that mature bucks are the only way to go. When I look at other peoples trail camera pics, whether its a spike or the turty point buck, I'm excited with them because they are happy. Why rain on their parade?

Contact your local scrap metal dealers. They have to keep a record of all the copper they buy. When our camp got hit by thieves we had friends go to the bars. Our peckerwood was selling our stuff for meth money. Got his name and most of our stuff back.

If I know that I will be sitting all day and not moving I have this set-up that my dad shared with me years ago. Find the best and thinnest waterproof coat you can find, doesn't matter what color it is. Wear it under your camo hunting coat. Clothing noise is muffled and you are completely dry. Be sure to use a sock on your bow arm.

In a nutshell ..... nope, I won't take the shot. My confidence isn't that high on a shot like that.

I agree with the others. Invest in a new barrel. Get a Hastings barrel with different chokes.

I shoot 65 pounds. Seems to work for me. They guys are right though. Different bows draw differently. My old Mission X3 drew a lot easier than my newer Hoyt at the same draw weight.

I presently shoot Slick Tricks which are very similar to Montecs. I did give the Rage 2-blade a try for one season and sold them immediately afterwards. They were the most unreliable broadhead I've ever owned. They were always deploying by accident and I could not count on them. So I went back to the reliability and deeper penetration of a fixed blade. Your G5 Montec is very similar to my Slick Trick mags but the G5's are about $10 more per pack. They should work very well for you.

what the best bow pro shop in your county of NY
RangerClay replied to sweet old bill's topic in Bow Hunting
In Jefferson County all we have is Akins Archery and I wouldn't send my worst enemy there. I recently had the best customer service I've had in a yeeeears at BowGuru in Holland Patent. Ian the owner was nothing less than professional and I will drive the 1.5 hours again for that quality of service. -
I'm a Hoyt guy and I'll second that motion. My next bow will be an Elite.

Oh and don't forget that WB can be affected by wet weather or in snow if it freezes up.

What type of vanes are on your arrows?? I used a whisker biscuit for a lot of years. Used to hate how it ate up my fletching. I switched to blazer vanes and that solved that problem. I wanted better accuracy for archery league so I got a QAD drop away. That thing is awesome! I'm never trading it in. Go here and click on the 3rd video down. http://www.qadinc.com/2011-Video.html

price for bowhunter and hunter safety classes.
RangerClay replied to boo711's topic in General Hunting
You actually pay for them when you buy anything hunting or fishing related. 11% of every purchase goes to the Pittman Robertson Act and that money is used to fund these things. -
Don't spray you arrows with all that crap. Get one of these. Twist while you pull it out. My 9 year old can pull out the arrows with this.
-
Good question. Don't make the same mistake I did. Make sure that when you clean it up that you remove the broadhead and oil the threads. I didn't do this and blood or moisture caused my broadhead to seize up. After trying everything I had to heat the arrow and pull the broadhead and insert out. I managed to save the arrow. Also be careful of getting your lighted nocks wet. I had a Nocturnal nock that wouldn't relight after being rinsed.

I like Easton Outdoor Adventures with Fred Eikler. No boloney and doesn't feel the need to shoot monster bucks.

What would you hunt with this rifle!?!?
RangerClay replied to EspressoBuzz's topic in General Chit Chat
I'll pass. Shoulder reconstructive surgery would we too expensive. -
Have you ever visited Archerytalk.com forums? There are some some great DIY arrow saw plans on there.

I shoot the exact bow that you have. Go with the Slick Trick mags and you won't use any other broadhead again. I have been using Slick Tricks for 8 years this fall. They are awesome to say the least. Every shot has been a complete pass through. They shoot just like field tips so you won't have re-adjust your sights. Scary sharp. Very inexpensive broadheads to shoot. I fell for the Rage hype a four years ago and it was a disaster. I've gone back to Tricks and that is all I will ever shoot at deer.

I have a thread about this in the political room.
