  1. True to some extent. Here's my argument... I can guarantee that I pay more taxes on my 46 acres then my neighbor, whose family has been up there for 150 years, who owns 200 acres. Where's the level playing field now? If we're talking level playing fields, it should be across the board on all aspects.
  2. I'm gonna be an owl. Only 9% of people will be reincarnated as a higher form of life than you.
  3. That is absolutely wonderful!! You and your parents are all blessed.
  4. Thanks guys!! Guess I'll drop the DEC a line tomorrow.
  5. Has anyone received their license in the mail yet? My nephew has one but hasn't received it yet and with licenses being on sale I would have thought they were mailed out already. Thanks in advance.
  6. If you're out there during a legal open season and using a legal hunting implement...let them prove you weren't.
  7. Here's a video of him that my nephew filmed. trim.0473B07A-C4CB-4554-AF1E-D110DE55BFF1.MOV
  8. I stay away from political posts because there are way too many opinions on the issues. Yes everyone is entitled to their opinion and I have no problem with political posts...except for the way some of you attack and insult each other. Those kind of posts do nothing to resolve the issues nor promote the site.
  9. Also make sure the ROW is legit and that your lawyer is working for you. I tell you this because around 10 years ago or so a couple of city guys purchased 17 acres which was landlocked in the town of Bethel with a ROW. When hunting season came they showed up to go hunting and the owner of the property with the supposed ROW called the Sheriff. Turned out that they had no ROW and no way to access their new property. My buddy who owns surrounding property that attaches to that 17 acres took the land off their hands for a song and a dance. Bottom line... be very cautious!!
  10. When I'm up at camp I could care less what my coffee cup looks like...only thing that matters is that I'm not here...on LI.
  11. Crystal is sold. I will take $60 TYD for both box calls..
  12. I have two Southland box calls and a Yellowheart Crystal for sale.. One is a Gobble Box and the other is a Cherry over Cedar short box. Both calls are brand new and cost $40 each. The crystal is lightly used but in good shape. If anyone is interested in buying them I'm asking $110TYD with payment through Paypal as a gift or USPS money order only. Thanks....
  13. I gave up hunting in PA years ago because of the no Sunday hunting laws. Working Mon-Fri and then making the run up to hunt on Saturday got old after a while. Even though I killed a lot of deer and some turkeys in PA it just became to much of a hassle. If some day it changes then I'll consider going back.
  14. You're a patient man my friend!! lol
  15. That's a really neat mount Matt!!
  16. I'm glad we're getting one closer to home as it's only about an hour drive from me. I wish hey would have put it in a different area though. That store needs to be in an area where it is the only store there. One of the problems with it being in the Commons is that you'll never get in there come the Christmas shopping season!!
  17. Way to go Matt!! Congrats buddy!! Looks like the old monarch was itching for one more fight. Like most fighters he went for one too many!!
  18. Joe did I forget to mention the $50 surcharge for every bird killed using that box call? Lol
  19. Soft calls and sparingly. This time of year less is more!!
  20. When checking in the bear hide and the skull at the airport they weighed 90 lbs. The wildlife biologist told my buddy that in 15 years as a biologist this is the largest bear he's ever seen. He too told my buddy to make sure and get the skull scored.
  21. .45-70 that he bought especially for bear hunting. He's hunted in CA for years and has had issues in the past using his .300WSM and opted for a slower and heavier bullet for the close shots at these bears.
  22. My good friend shot this bruiser this week in Alberta. They tried to weigh him but he bottomed out the 500lb limit scale they had. He will have the skull scored after the required drying period. The guides told him that he may be a new Alberta record. I will update this post after the skull is scored.
