  1. Pork roast on the rotisserie And on my plate Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  2. I am nearsighted and have been wearing glasses while hunting for the last 20 or so years. Can't say if deer have ever seen them and spooked. Like airedale said, I think scent and wind direction is a bigger factor.
  3. For the last 10 years or so my dad and I have had a 6 point or better policy. We've taken a number of 6's and a couple 8's in that time. There have been a few years we haven't taken a deer. We let a LOT of spikes and 4's pass. It has been getting tougher to do so lately as DMP's have been few and far between in our unit. We didn't get a deer last year and my freezer is currently empty of venison. If a decent buck doesn't present itself early, the spike or 4 is going to be hard to let pass this year.
  4. Breakfast taco for dinner. Broccoli, onion and parm cheese scrambled eggs with a piece of bacon wrapped in a piece of rye toast. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  5. I thought pretty good. Has an orange-ish citrus hop flavor that I didn't care for at first but it grew on me.
  6. Tasting great with these tacos Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

  8. A little refreshment after visiting Ellis Island and Lady Liberty today. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  9. Chicken on the rotisserie. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  10. Used a buck bomb once. Didn't see a deer that day. Last and only time using an attractant scent.
  11. Instead of a bacon egg and cheese on a hardroll, try liver wurst egg and cheese. You won't be disappointed.
  12. My girls are at dance class tonight so dinner is on my own. Went a little outside the box working with ingredients in the fridge. Broccoli and onion omelet with parm cheese, pan fried liver wurst and rye toast. Eggs and liver wurst is a good thing..... Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  13. Pic doesn't look great since I ate most before thinking to take a picture. Grilled sausage sandwich with sauteed peppers and tomatoes from the garden. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  14. What Dinsdale said. Plus look for a bonding agent admixture to add to your mortar mix. Also, make sure to wet the CMU so it is damp before applying the parge. It will help with the bond and ensure the block doesn't suck the water out of parge. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  15. Gerber folder I have had for about 20 years and a Buck 4" fixed blade with a rubber grip handle I picked up at Bass Pro a few years ago on clearance for $10. Keep them sharp and they work well. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  16. That really sucks and I can relate but a little differently. My dad and uncles had a property of about 400 acres to hunt from the mid seventies until I turned 16 in 1990. Sometime in October we went to walk the property and stopped in to see the owner (a really old lady in my recollection) and we were told "No more hunting on my land!". There were a couple fields bordering the house and through the years they had problems with locals jacking deer. Well, they left their dog outside one night and it got shot. Even though we had nothing to do with it she loved that dog and only tolerated her sons allowing people to hunt the family property so we were gone. We scrambled and found some acreage to hunt before the opener but for my first season and the anticipation to hunt on land I had been tagging along with my dad on for years, it really sucked. 17. Mow the lawn then inlaws coming over for a barbecue.
  18. Never made it to wing fest. After stuffing ourselves late morning at Sophia's and spending a few hours at the zoo in the sun, were not up for more sun and crowds. Chilled at hotel for a bit and walked down to Big Ditch Brewing for dinner. Not bad. Day before we went to Niagara Falls. First time there and Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds were awesome. 19. After 4 days of sightseeing and staying in hotel with my girls (a truly great time), enjoying quiet time in the man cave with a couple of these. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  20. If we make it there, will definitely report. I am expecting heartburn. I come out to Buffalo at least once a month for work and am slowly finding my way around. The area definitely has a lot to offer! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  21. Girls are dead set on zoo so we are going. I'm more excited about Sophia's. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  22. Thanks TF. I vaguely remember you posting that experience. Definitely going to hit canalside, Liberty Hound and battleship.Been there before without the girls and they will dig it. I've been to Riverworks in the evening. Is the walk over worth it during the day? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
