Aftermath of lunch at La Divina Dos on my way into Buffalo today. Ate them before I thought to take a pic. Al pastor, barbacoa and carnitas. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I have heard of signpost rubs that get used year after year by multiple bucks. I have never seen one personally. Maybe this is one?

Not on Lake Champlain but only about 10 minutes from Port Henry is Lincoln Pond state campground. I have not camped there but have used the boat launch. I looks pretty nice for camping. My in laws have a camp on Lincoln Pond. Great bass fishing.

Maybe someone shot high over her head with a .50BMG?

I bought a Ruger American last fall in 7-08. Like you I was looking for a reliable, not too expensive, gun that would kill deer. I put a Nikon Prostaff 2-7x on it and it shoots 1 1/2" groups all day with 140gr Federal Premium Vital Shocks. I also looked at the Savage Axis but just liked the feel of the Ruger better. In that price price range, you probably couldn't go wrong with either choice.

Have not read any of the responses to this thread so I could be repeating, ask your daughter's doctor if the best thing for her is to get the flu shot, not a bunch of us yahoos. I'm no doctor but I would bet he/she says get it. Every doctor out there is saying everyone should get the shot. I was at my doctor this afternoon for something else and he told me this year's flu is nothing to mess around with.

Thanks! Gonna try this

That looks very different and like something I'd want to try. Any chance for a recipe?

I've lost 25 pounds in the last year. I cut out all fast food, packaged processed food, fried food and white breads. Watch my carbs (except beer). Try to eat a vegetable or fruit with every meal. Limit sodium intake. Cutting out fast food and processed food goes a long way towards that. It is amazing the amount of salt in processed foods. I do a fast 2 to 3 mile walk 4 to 5 times a week. My weakness is beer. I think if I cut it out I could've lost more.

I've got the same pellet gun. Got it about 25 years ago. It has dropped quite a few red squirrels at camp over the years.

I've got a few favorites. My wife''s spaghetti and meatballs (she is making today ) and her chicken and biscuits. I make a Guinnesss beef stew that really hits the spot on a cold day.

I don't shoot through brush. It's a clear shot or a pass for me.

Don't save the Heady! The fresher it is, the better!

No pics but tonight was meatloaf, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, brocoli, corn and a spinach salad. Oh yeah, there was some beer and bourbon too....

Jake. 13 years old but has the maturity of a puppy just not the body anymore. But if I don't throw that toy at least once a day for him we have issues. Could hardly get him to stand still for these pictures. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Bill - I was cracked open to fix a torn mitral valve in August of 2016. For the first 10 weeks after, my surgeon was in charge of dictating all physical activity. I'm sure everyone's situation is different but if I remember, I was restricted to lifting no more than 10lbs the first four weeks. It then increased to 25lbs and at 10 weeks it was whatever I was comfortable doing. Drawing a bow probably wouldn't have been something comfortable at that point. Muscle wise for me it was probably about 6 months before my chest felt fully healed and to the same point it was prior to the surgery. Good luck with the surgery and hope you have a speedy recovery!! -
Whoops. Looks like TF, Rob and Otto beat me to the punch on the fresh chicken and bake advice......
-
I would suggest to skip the canned chicken. Poach a couple chicken breasts and shred them. Also, instead of cooking on top of stove, pour the whole mess into a small casserole dish and top with some additional cheese and throw into oven at 350 until it is bubbly.

Happy birthday!

Talk to your dad first. Rather than a surprise to him, maybe it should be something you do together since they were his best friiends.

Younger days, hit the bars til the wee hours and hope to make it home alive (somehow we always did and looking back we were pretty stupid). Now, all grown up with kids, we usually have a house party at ours or one of our friends houses but everyone is scattered around this year with family obligations. I think we are gonna be low key at home this year with lots of good eats and a couple good movies. Watch the ball drop in our jammies.

A Samsung 4k ultra HDTV (for the family), a couple pairs of work gloves, some clothes and a nice wooden ammo box.
