  1. I'm surrounded by what must be a thousand crows right now. They're in the trees, on the ground, flying all over. Not gonna be a deer within a mile of here with this racket! Its ridiculous! Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  2. Blaze orange camo coat is always on. Doesn't matter to the deer. Movement is more important than what color clothes you're wearing.
  3. Zero deer seen this morning but there is one less coyote in the population... Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  4. 1lb of cooked sausage (I used Jimmy Dean for these) 4 beaten eggs 1 cup of Bisquick 1 cup shredded cheese Mix it all together, put in muffin tins and bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
  5. Our woods have been quiet as far as deer go. Saw two doe at 8am and nothing since. New property owners next door a different story. See two guys walking the property line in street clothes around 930. One with a rifle. Neither had back tags that I could see. A little later a tractor and utility vehicle driving through their field. Then chainsaws. Now what sounds like a wood chipper running for the last half hour. Not the best of opening days so far. 6. Not for dinner but breakfast and lunch in the woods tomorrow. Sausage and cheddar muffins. Can't remember who originally posted this recipe but it has been a staple the last couple years. Bring these and some Halloween candy and good for the day Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  7. Gonna sit in a ground blind overlooking a little valley that transitions to a brushy draw that separates two fallow fields.
  8. I wash hunting clothes in scent killer detergent before the season and keep outer layers in a plastic tote outside. Put outer layers on when I get to my spot. Other than that, just try to keep downwind.
  9. Got out with my dad today to set up our blinds for the gun opener. Our woods are mostly oak hardwoods with some pine and surrounded by a few green fields and a little corn. Basically daytime bedding. Not a lot of sign where we normally see it and NO acorns. We'll see how it goes. First pic is view from my dad's blind. Second is mine. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  10. My sister in law flew up here from Georgia back in August and did not quarantine. My in laws have flown back and forth from Myrtle Beach a couple of times and have not quarantined. In fact, I'm picking them up at the airport this afternoon. I'm not saying it is the right thing to do but there is no way for the state to keep track of anyone. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  11. Split dogs with cheddar cheese and an undercarriage of salami on a toasted American cheese bun. Side of Bush's and chips. Tasted good but I am already regretting it....lol Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  12. I registered my boat online this year. You get a 10 day (I think) temporary to print out and received my stickers in the mail in about a week.
  13. Overthinking it....My dad shot 180gr core-lokts out of his .308 for decades and most deer he shot were DRT. All under 100 yards. A few seasons ago he switched to a lighter 150gr Winchester Deer Season XP. He has shot two bucks with that round at about 50 yards, also DRT.
  14. Mossberg 500 with 18.5" barrel sounds like a home defense setup. https://www.mossberg.com/store/500-20-gauge-security-barrel-bead-sight-18-5-matte-finish-10301mt.html As a couple others have said, for hunting deer, a better option would be a 24" rifled barrel.
  15. Long Labor Day weekend in Cape Cod. Picked this beer up today. After 3 days of seafood, eating pizza for dinner on the beach. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  16. The red ones could be scotch bonnets...similar to habaneros. Pepper jelly is great. I made a batch a few years ago with some hot lemon peppers I grew. Care to share your recipe?
  17. This cuke grew between the trellis and deck railing and was formed into a perfect U-shape. Never had one like this before Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  18. Strip steak, grilled onions, avocado, red peppers, hummus and some chips Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
