I hunt with a groupe of guys who don't shoot does. And look down on anyone who shoots a doe, but I shoot a doe once and a while and could care less what they think. So they don't shoot does and this year no one shot a buck out of 14 huters. So you gussed it I will be back up this weekend trying to shoot a doe. After all it's called hunting and it ends with killing a deer, what ever you choose to shoot aslong as it's legal. I don't shoot fawns or does with fawns try to wait and find a single doe. I don't look down on anyone who hunts as long as it's done ethically and legally.

you're right about the Ford.

Has anyone had these feelings while deer hunting. I have no problem when I get the opportunity to shoot a buck, but reluctant to shoot a doe. I will eventually shoot a doe but there is something completely different that I just have a hard time explaining. Must be getting soft in my old age. Hava a permit and could have taken a doe atleast 10 times this season but just been putting it off. Will head up again this last weekend and do the deed.

you said it in a nut shell

Bear picture looks small for 200#, but congrats.

Looks like the ethics police are still around. Always telling people what they should do. As a hunter you should know the rules before you head out in the morning and be as ethical as you can possibly be. You only have to be responsible to yourself . What other hunters do is their business. I thought we beat this topic to death last year, and it wasn't pretty.

Where are in 4W, I also hunt in 4W. Saw plenty of does and only one 4pt buck. But had a few shooters on the trail cam before gun season. Good luck this weekend.

How many of you "Register" your ATV?
Dave replied to burmjohn's topic in ATV's , UTV's, Dirtbikes & Snowmobiles
Thanks John will check it out. A DEC Officer passed me while I was on my quad but kept going. This happened last Monday thought I was caught. Must have had other more important business to take care of at the time. Lucky for me. -
How many of you "Register" your ATV?
Dave replied to burmjohn's topic in ATV's , UTV's, Dirtbikes & Snowmobiles
I have 2 quads that I bought from Rusty Palmers in PA. in 1996 and never had them registered in NY. Rusty Palmers delivered them to my property in Delaware county. I also bought a 2003 quad from a woman in Conn and have a bill of sale from her but no registration she never registered the quad. How do I go about legally regestering my quads. I have the bill of sale from Rusty Palmers, and just a hand written bill of sale from the woman in Conn. Do I have to pay sales tax on the bikes, before I can register them? -
You are correct I use them too but not any more. Shope rite has better bags for picking up poop, just sayin.

Hunt in 4W, have been seeing does but the bucks have vanished. Have pictures on trail cam during bow season, thought this would be a good gun season but not so. One coyote shot on Sunday but still no shooter bucks this is the second year of AR. Going back after thanksgiving, if at first you don't succeed try, try again.

Sorry for your loss, I bet that flintlock will shoot streight and true. God bless.

Do you guys really think that he would knowingly post an illegal taking of a deer. If he shot over 150 yards it couldn't have been after legal shooting time. Just be happy for the guy and don't be such critics. To all have a great Thanksgiving.

The last time we were pulled over was in 1971 by DEC in the town of Stoney Creek. My uncle had a house and 120 acres we hunted as we left his house we had to pass the DEC in town. But the funny thing was my friend has a 1967 corvette, where do they think we could be hiding a deer?

Everyone is correct it does get boring at times, but this is a test of your endurance to stick it out all day. If you are not in your stand you don't see any deer, it's like lotto you gotta be in it to win it, same with deer hunting. I personally can't be bothered with any gadgets on stand it's what I try to get away from while I am hunting. With my luck I would see a deer and my cell phone would go off.

I recently read an article in The AARP. They quoted a statistic that of the married couples over 50 one third will end in divorce. There are plenty of people out there that didn't make it to 50 and are divorced. Well Good Luck Elmo.

Life is funny and things change over time. When we get married our wives try to change us into what that want us to be. Once that happens they complain "What Happened TO The Guy I Married"

I am sure you would have to check with your local gas supplier. There is some retooling involved and possibly the need for a bigger gas meter. The gas meters are rated by how much gas you would consume for heat and hot water anything more would be out of range of the meter and thus a bigger meter would be required. Plus the fact is these things are expensive, you may never see a break even point.

Thanks Elmer I needed that, you are right.

Most gas disrtibution lines in your neighborhood that you use for heating and cooking are rated from 80# to 100#. That is maximum operating pressure but most lines run at about 60#. But that is not the pressure in your house to run your appliances. When the line in the street is tapped a gas line is run to your house this is probably a plastic gas line. Where the line meets your house there is a regulator installed, most likely on the outside of the house. But some are instaled in the house if it's a very old line, and have a vent line attached from the regulator and then piped to the out side of your house. This is to vent gas outside in the event the regulator fails. You usually can find this vent on the outside of the house it has a red cap with a screen on the end of it. Getting back to your question, once the gas goes through the regulator the pressure is reduced from 60# to about 1/4#. This low pressure is not enough to fuel a cng vehicle.
