  1. Not under a swing set but had to ask a land owner permission and he granted with some level of anger hahaha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Great advice, thank you. I know the neighbor would freak. They’re more skittish than deer hahaha. So I’ll play careful but damn there’s so many deer here I can’t not hunt. Even if part of the hunt is stealthily moving around people’s property in pursuit of a dying beast. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I’ve got access to a small acre lot in a residential neighborhood of Southampton. It butts up against other houses on both sides and a creek at the base. I’m wondering if I can legit hunt on the property - I’m told I am allowed as the landowner (well it’s family land), and as long as the folks next door don’t mind me passing through their property to retrieve a deer. I always thought it was illegal but I’m Guessing I’m wrong in that assumption now. Any ideas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. Hey everyone, Rookie here, shooting a trad self made bow, and learning how to hunt. Wondering if you all might give me a hint on where I might hunt this afternoon on Long Island - which areas are good and in particular which parts of those areas where I might see deer? Any help at all appreciated!! Not even seeing movement so I need everything I can get! Ash Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Hey guys. Newby here and learning the ropes. Planning on hunting Long Island and I have so many questions... maybe someone could help me with them? Sorry I’m so dumb about all this but it’s looks like totally different language to normal English hahaha. . All lands/spots for hunting on Long-island are DEC managed? . is there no public areas to hunt which don’t require a special day/season pass on top of the standard NY deer tags I already have? . What’s the difference in a DEC owned and Co-operative hunting area? . What is a managed lands access permit ? Is that the tag I bought a while back that gives me permission to hunt one specific spot? . How do I get permission to hunt a specific area? Can I just check into a sports store or ridge hunter check station the day before? . Or, as is my impression, can I only get access to one specific area/spot for the season?
