    Does anyone hunt these parts? How do things look? I like what I see this year. No acorns the last 10? anyone know why?

    antiperspirant deodorant for the wounds and some gas and a match for the ground dwellers. I got hit brushhogging this summer. don't know where it, or they came from. Think it may have been a nest in a pine. Been staying out of that area.

    Thanks for all the kind words. First try at a plot. I think i made the right choice so far with the terrain and pH. I would hate to have to try to work that area every year. I want to get some soy beans in somewhere, but between pasture for the cows and fields abutting roads, there isn't much chance for that. i was going to use this field for the beans cuz it is about 6acres total but much of it too steep to mess with. i am playing with smaller areas of brassicas and some oats on trails in/out.

    The only gray duck I know is common merganser. i was thinking mourning dove but for the web feet and wetland habitat.

    i' d keep on hunting. it is more of a lifestyle than anything.

    put 4 acres in clover 1 in brassicas, forced the edges, trails and wet spots with oats. all planted the 3 week of june or so. Still have 2 acres left for this fall. sprayed last week will disc and plant 3rd week of august or so.. looking for winter wheat and more brassica. Hope it works!

    don't spray. if you plan on plowing, there is no need. If you were to just disc, then spray wait 2 wks and disc like crazy drag and plant and possibly drag again.
