So now being retired from the Army, starting to look hard at where we are going to retire at. The wife has two more years. Been out in the west states the last 17 years. Can anyone tell me how the hunting is around this area? Any public land? Will still do the long drive to Montana every year to hunt elk but would nice to have something local. Also how is the fishing? Thanks Joe

My name is Joe, I grew up in the Plattsburgh area, joined the Army 24 years ago and retired 3 years ago. Started a full time taxidermy studio out here in Washington state, but so tired of the rat race out here. Going to head to Malone NY and open a new shop. About my hunting, I have hunted all over the United States, I have taken almost all animals from Alaska, I have taken numerous Elk from Washington and Idaho. And just over all love being out in the woods. Oh yea and I am a bass fishing freak. Here is a link to my latest hunt. Joe
