I got , combine stand , because it’s by an old combine rusted away, box blind, ground blind, ridge stand , cow stand because it’s on the edge of a cow pasture
-
I own the property all around it but again , they can run out 4 different sides .. and they choose the side I’m not on .. if I don’t push them they stay out till dark on days I don’t hunt it they still stay buried in there till dark...
-
Ha they have 4 ways out ..and if I enter on the East they go to the west

I have a box blind set up facing my 3 acre field which is in front of 110 acre woods ( I don’t own the woods) behind my box blind is a hedge that is 120 ft deep x 300 ft long. the deer are always bedded down in there,,if I intentionally make noise I kick them out and they always go the opposite way on a dead run and don’t come back till night. if I’m quiet and sit in my blind they don’t come out till dark . how do I get them out during daylight. I know they move at dark. these three pics were all this morning and tons of does too
-
Yes I hunt alone so I sit,, sometimes I walk around some . I killed a good doe opening day that I’m sure someone pushed my way . seen nothing since except on my trail cam well after dark
-
Looking more for gun
-
Again, I think he’s with these girls ,, it’s thick so being able to catch him sleeping is gonna be tough .. but if I kick him out at 2:30 pm will he sneak back in before dark ?
-
Yea I think they are bedded down behind my box blind .. ita a 120 ft wide x 300 ft long mess of thickets and blow downs .. I see the trail going into it but it THICK im tempted to push it this afternoon early , they will head across my field into the woods .. but will they come back before dark when I could be in my blind and knock one off
-
Wont the clover come up in the fall if I plant it in august ? then continue year after year to grow
-
Yea and still moving only after dark
-
Where do u buy the seed
-
The field next time will be beans , but they probably will be cut by crossbow season once I get it planted it should keep coming back right
-
Ha , nope nothing like that on Weather Channel or NOAA
-
We’re not supposed to get any storm , Cayuga Cty
-
Well I figured late summer ?? I really don’t want to weed kill spray .. wouldn’t it work if I just tilled it multiple times
-
Rent a three point tiller,, mow the pc short then around August till it.. as soon as I see any growth till again End of August broadcast spread clover mixed with oats,,, Would it be high enough to eat by start of bow season and would it reseed its self so I wouldn’t have to redo

What area
-
I filled a doe tag opening day and am thankful because nothing since . Haven’t seen a buck since crossbow opened . I plan to hunt tomorrow and Sunday to try for one more deer which I am donating to a family we are friends with. After the season ends I look forward to warm weather and life getting back to “normal” I hate snow and cold ,,, except for deer season..

I’ll post pics and prices ..just need to make up my mind. The Ithaca has had probably 2 boxes of slugs thru it . I think I have a left hand safety for it too it has the corn cob forend on it . I had the original box too but I think I tossed it -
Pliers ? I just tightened it by hand
