I went with the neighbor's kid yesterday and today. It was cold, wet, and miserable on Saturday and it rained heavily occasionally. We didn't hear a gobbler. It was nice this morning, but we couldn't locate any with the owl call. I heard a gobbler at this location a few days ago. I let him use my Killer B and She Mobile decoys. At least I taught the kid not to over-call and to pick up his feet so he doesn't make noise while walking through the woods on our way to the blind.
He has until noon so he may want to head back out. If so, I'm up for it. Although we better pick a better spot because I think we sat on a colony of ticks!
