My wife cant take the cold at all (bad hand injury) this gives us a place to go. She went out with me a few times last year in another tower i have thats not totally enclosed. Not to mention if the hunting is slow........wont need a heater.

Just picked up this bad boy. Starting on the platform this weekend. Ill probably be doing more napping than hunting hahaha.

Its so easy to pick him apart from the other deer because his coat is already dark. All the other deer have that bright orange summer coat. The giant rack helps too I suppose.

It needs to be opposite of the heat on the cool zone side of the grill. Charcoal grills work better than gas but either will work. I put a drip tray under the bacon to save the mass.

Talk about history. Thats an old mature deer with a unique giant rack. Wonder what he will look like this year?

It sure is. I plopped a pound down opposite to hot coals on the charcoal kettle and my life was never the same afterwards.

Depends on where you hunt like you said. I have killed and been a part of kills of multiple bucks that weighed 180-200 that were 3-4 years old. This deer in particular, wish i saved his bottom jaw to send to deerage.com.

Im putting out my cell cams tomorrow. Well see what they catch. Probably just raccoons and squirrels. 8-9pm is my new favorite time of day. Cant wait to get my phone mount in. Wont have to juggle the phone and spotter while trying to focus the two while following the deer. I wish i had a spare camera id put it up where they come out.

Im if lucky. We own lots of different properties up and down the road. After mid October deer around here wonder though.

Few nice ones tonight but they came early and moved through quick. Didnt have time to get many good shots. Big Show was there again. A few other promising suspects as well. Didnt see the big 8 with the curved in brows tonight.

That giant tree looks too dark to be an oak. Cant quite make it out. Can one of the resident tree experts name it? Beautiful property nonetheless. Scrapes used during the day plus oaks is a slam dunk.
