  1. Cant complain about that. Plenty of people drive an hour or more to shoot. Your one of the lucky ones!
  2. .22 at tiny targets is the most fun someone can have with their clothes on. Ive done lots of centerfire at 3, 4, 500 yards+ and for some reason plinking at a plate setup at 1-200 yards with a 22 pistol is Far more enjoyable to me
  3. Good price on the prime brisket. Ill have to check that out thanks!
  4. Nice ranges everyone. Glad to see some fellow backyard blasters here. Shooting aspirins is a fun challenge as well. Airedale, that winchester 52B is a beautiful target rifle. I have always wanted to try one of those or a remington 40X out, they are works of art. Obviously quite accurate in the proper hands!
  5. When i start building my house next year a range straight out from my walkout basement will be a must. I cant wait to have my rifle range out the back door. Very nice setup jerry. Im envious! Staying in the shade makes shooting much more enjoyable.
  6. Im looking to build a building similar to yours on my rifle range. I use an easy up tent now. I love rimfire myself, i shoot more deuce deuce than anything. Lately i have been shooting my .22 magnum a lot lately. Forgot how much more of a pop that round has that the long rifle.
  7. Here is my little range i have in my backyard. I only shoot handguns and .22lr back there. The rifle range and clay launcher are a half mile up the road at a more secluded location.
  8. Love the model 70. Sweet set up
  9. They are enemy number one on my farm. My grandfather drives around to known locations and waits in his pickup while listening to Rush Limbaugh. I bought him a Ruger American compact in .17 hmr topped with leupold vx-2 4-12. Works great close to buildings, no ricochet. I prefer my remington 700 .222 remington with a zeiss 4-14. Makes a real mess of them!
  10. Im assuming most of the people that buy those dont hunt. If they only knew bambi took a bullet to make that lol.
  11. Sounds like a cool project. Im envisioning a Benoit family style of footage. Assuming you carry a 7600 and wear green and black wool?
  12. Saw this in the dinner thread. Looks like it turned out great.
  13. I said just that to my wife last night. Im 40 miles from Rochester
  14. Thats a great idea. Much more economical as well. Ill try that. I wonder how that would react to nickel finishes...
  15. Those are very accurate guns. They certainly dont make em like that anymore. Puts a whole new meaning to smooth. They’re like budda!
  16. Love the 66 as well, i have a 3 incher. The k frames are my favorite of all the smith and wessons
  17. Its good to be prepared always. Even after things “cool down”.
  18. Decided a few of the revolvers were over due for a good hosing down. The blued model is a four inch S&W model 19-3 .357 magnum. The 4 inch stainless with the nikon spur sight is a S&W 617-6 .22lr. Last but not least is the little Smith 642-1 snubbie .38 special.
  19. Weaver makes a really sweet little scope for rimfires. It would go very well on your 10/22. I have one on one of my 10/22s and i love it. Id leave the mini open sights. Keeping the Nikon is a wise choice. well crap looks like that weaver scope has recently been discontinued. Leupold makes a great rimfire model as well. Thats what i would buy these days. Regular centerfire scopes generally have the parallax set for 100 yards instead of 50 like most rimfire scopes. Not to mention the weight and overall length difference. Having a well balanced setup is much to aim and carry.
  20. I think i just threw up a little in my mouth
