  1. Wegmans sells sushi grade tuna that is affordable and quite delicious. To get started I experimented with scallops and shrimp. Its not hard at all to make if the rice is made properly.
  2. Looks like it would take 5 to make a meal. Always wanted to try them as well as pheasant. Wild turkey is amazing i can imagine they are as well.
  3. Great picture thanks for sharing.
  4. The last few years i have been seeing woodcock while out working. Never saw them around here years ago. Saw a mama with 4-5 youngsters. Cool to see.

    hi

Hello, new here myself but have a life long love of the outdoors as well as firearms and concealed carry. Hunting is far from rocket science but does require tons of patience and will. Plenty of people try to replace those with monetary objects/gadgets and YouTube videos. Unfortunately it just takes time and a good teacher if at all possible. Firearm knowledge/safety is a whole subject in and of itself. Good luck and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
  6. It turned out delicious as always. That was a third of a loin actually. Im quite fortunate to have nuisance permits for my farm so backstrap is never in short supply. On a side note, if you aren’t quite happy with you wing crispiness dont be afraid to crank the smoker all the way up or use a charcoal grill. I learned many times the hard way chicken needs no low and slow.
  7. Stuffed venison backstrap. For the stuffing i used cream cheese, mozzarella, chopped pickled jalapeños. Small tip, cut a “meat pocket” into the meat instead of butterflying it all the way open. Helps from it oozing everywhere. I seasoned with some salt pepper garlic and Kosmos Q honey killer bee inside and out. Then stuffed, wrapped with bacon and tied up. I put some Kosmos Q dirty bird seasoning on the outside for the color. Its going on the kettle grill indirect with apple wood from my orchard for smoke. Probably smoke at 275degrees or so
  8. Got curios and re measured his neck. It was 35+. That makes more sense lol
  9. I live across the street from that fence. I watch the elk every morning. They are beautiful animals. Not too many places in ny you can do that. I toured that facility in high school its amazing. The whole properties were just recently sold actually. During the rut we ride around the fences and rattle. You would crap your pants when you see what comes up to the fence. Lots of 180-200 inch deer in there. Trees have fallen on that fence and the wild hogs they had in there dug out. I was told by a neighbor that 3 elk got out a few weeks back. Animals find a way I wouldn’t be surprised.
  10. My taxi commented on his neck size. It was over 25 nches i recall
  11. Just so happens I live in clyde and have an apple farm.
  12. Few more pictures of the 14 pointer. He lost a bunch of weight from that trail cam picture to when i shot him. Its amazing what the rut does to them.
  13. I am! I have been reading through some of the classics lately. I forget how well written that comic was...
  14. Hello fellow hunters. I thought I would share a few pictures of my shoulder mounts. All of these deer were killed on properties less than 30 acres in 8f.
  15. Hello all, new here from wayne county but not new to hunting and firearms. I hunt 8f on various wooded properties and my farm. Seems like a great bunch of folks so far.
