Did any of your shots run a line or just random spacing groups? Some times a warm Bartel will walk around a little. I take big brakes between every 2 or 3 shots.

I used white hots and I can shoot 4 or 5 times but same thing.

This year I traveled to help family. Hunting is great for me, morning hunts have been great last 3 days and a few nights ago was bonkers.

Yes, it's a zoo. Just jeep going up stream. Lol, it slows down after the initial run and by now there are a different types of spawning fish. One of the few places near me that you can land a 10lb trout or salmon with some regular occurrence.

Feel like it's getting western out here. Hunting the land backwards.... looks like few days with westerly wind coming but very unorthodox season so far.

Not touching those comments. Like to keep this about fishing/poaching, also I hand hog em , and bank booting can work in a pinch, almost forgot.

If you practice a little bit it gets easy. Tip of the day is to use a split tree and you can use the extra tree for support to lean on, and hide your form a little bit.

Also some of these guys probably poo poo the spinner and spinning rod, but I do it all. Fly, spin, centerpin, net, spear, bow, floss, whatever it takes.

And yes we eat some of them, the browns between 10 and 14 inches may be keep 15 a year or less, and they are tasty with butter wine capers and scallion.

It's not the big "d" or the "bk" but I'm happy. Most of these fish were were caught in 2 days by a friend and hos father from Italy who never trout fished before. Many natural fish where I'm at and brookies haven't been stocked in over 50 years here.

That's like here, can fish fall creek all winter and catch the Lakers spawn once in a while also.

If I lived there may be more into it. But it's long ways away from home and the few times I went I wasn't impressed nor did I see anything impressive. Running water is awesome no matter what. Grew up on owego creek, and virgil creek, caught many fish (browns) over 20", and the tribs to cayuga hold monsters. Reproduction rates for rainbows in cayuga is really great also. I dont hunt catskills much either because you fight with all the people from downstate. I'm not digging on anyone, just my experiences. Roscoe Diner is pretty good though.

I like to go hiking and fishing up there but your right, I don't pay much attention to hunting up there because of the low animal densities..... (enter wolc123) ill be proven wrong if he reads this.

I shoot the g5s and I sharpen them. Had 6 for 3 seasons have killed multiple deer with 1 head. They sharpen very easy on the stone.

I run montec g5 for both. Works great. Bought some cheap shafts from China and ram with it. Deadly out to 50yds. Little loud but effective.
