Where in the world can I find one of these hammock chairs? They sound really cool, but I can find one for sale anywhere!

Thoughts on best area looking at my drawing
Splitear replied to luberhill's topic in CrossBow Hunting
I'd go for stand 3 or your blind. Too bad you don't have a stand in the area of your blind, that looks like a nice pinch point. -
Thanks to the Marines and all who have served. You have my undying respect and gratitude!

Honestly, if extensive investigation reveals no widespread voter fraud, I would be in full support of expanding mail-in voting beyond absentee and especially early voting. It felt nice to be able to vote early this year, especially since my wife works late on Tuesdays, I would have had to stand in line with my 2 year old in order to vote this year if I had to make election day. Since that wasn't the case, I found a slow time and work, jumped in line and in 30 minutes I was done. The number of voters from every walk of life this year was spectacular! I was proud to see so many of my fellow citizens acting on their civic duty.

Sounds like you need a good 4-wheeler with a trailer and small attachments for food plot work.

That is a monster! I'm guessing he'll score anywhere between 100-300pts.

Thanks, I figured that was the case, but there's not a lot of information out on the interwebs, and I would rather be safe than sorry.

So, probably a dumb question here, but yesterday I stopped at my local shop to pick up a few tins of caps. I realized when I got home that I had purchased CCI #11 Magnum caps instead of the CCI #11's I've been using in my sidelock. Does anyone know if the magnums will work in place of the regular ones? I just want to make sure I'm not going to harm the gun.

Voting Irregularities
Splitear replied to Doc's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
You're exactly right, the unneeded animosity comes from both sides, and I think that the "left" (I hate saying left and right) have been worse about it during the last 4 years. It comes with the territory I guess, during the Obama years, the roles were flipped. I also echo the need for differing opinions. This is a big country, and there are millions of different perspectives that shape our decisions. Everyone should be comfortable in sharing their perspective, and equally as comfortable in listening to others. We are not at that point right now. Again, this is not solely a Republican or Democrat problem, I'm not looking to place blame on anyone. -
Voting Irregularities

Oh, I wasn't sayin that it wasn't, and not even the collusion part, it was the interference, which is widely regarded as true. Trust me, I came to grips with the fact that Trump won in 2016 a long time ago. *I re-read my post and see how you could draw that conclusion. I meant that in 2016 I thought they should fully investigate Russian election meddling. I'm not sure how to re-word it without it looking the same way, so hopefully this makes sense. -
Voting Irregularities

By all means I think they should investigate any credible issues, just the same as I believed they should have fully investigated Russian efforts in 2016 (which many Republicans wanted to block). I think that our elections are one of the most important pieces of our democracy, as it is the one point in the process where "we the people" can make real changes. So, investigate all you want. However, if and when the results still don't change the outcome, I hope that people will accept them and move on. On a personal note, I understand the "disbelief" of the results by Trump-supporters. I remember in 2016 when there was no way I thought he could win, I donated $5 to Jill Stein for the recounts. I think it's human nature to not accept things right away, and that's fine. Take all the time you need, everyone needs to process things at their own pace. Shoot, there are some people who refuse to accept that Trump won in 2016 I just hope we can all come back together as Americans. I would never expect us to agree on anything completely, but if we could just get back to respecting each other, that would be major progress. The anger and animosity is not sustainable. We all have to understand that we are brothers and sisters (at least if you follow the guidelines of most religions), we all have our own struggles and perspectives, but in the end, we are Americans, and the huge majority of people just want to see things better than they are in the moment (that is not a political statement, but a generality). We may not agree on what "better" is, but we should at least be able to respect the intent. -
That adrenaline rush is addictive! I'm glad you had a successful first hunt. Remember that taking an animal is just a small part of it. Great storytelling as well!

I have a feeling that they have been grooming Ken Jennings. I think he would do a ice job.

I just read that Alex Trebek passed away. As a casual fan of Jeopardy, it was expected but still is another blow courtesy of 2020. https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/08/entertainment/alex-trebek-jeopardy-host-death-trnd/index.html

Great buck, congratulations! -
Congratulations, and 10 minutes is cutting it close! My wife was in labor for about 20 hours. I don’t know which I’d prefer. Regardless, there is no greater feeling than holding that new precious life! Seriously, congratulations, the hard work for you starts now, and it’s worth every minute of it.

These are fun. I’d say you’ve got a Fisher cat there.

Good luck, sounds like you’ll have a down buck in the morning. Never a bad idea to play on the side of caution. -

I didn’t vote for Trump, mainly because I didn’t like him. Tell me, what do I deserve to have happen to me? What does my wife deserve to have happen to her? Listen, I understand that it hurts when your guy doesn’t win. Democrats had their “snowflake” moment in 2016, and I think Trump supporters deserve theirs. I’m not reveling or making fun, it’s human nature to come to terms with losing. However, this dangerous talk of violence is outrageous and un-American! -
