  1. I don’t hate him, far from it. I didn’t support him, primarily because I was turned off by his poor character.
  2. It’s sucks when your candidate loses, I get it. I remember how it felt when he won in 2016. Eventually you’ll accept and move on.
  3. I have really considered it. If I end up having to return this nipple, I might go ahead and pick one up. I have just heard that 209’s are harder to find than #11’s.
  4. From Wikipedia: “Smocking is an embroidery technique used to gather fabric so that it can stretch. Before elastic, smocking was commonly used in cuffs, bodices, and necklines in garments where buttons were undesirable.” Your opinion is yours, and you are entitled to believe what you wish, even if it is wrong. I just hope most sensible people can come to terms with outcomes and work together to move forward.
  5. Get your heads out of the gutter... I wanted to replace the #11 nipple on my New Englander. I contacted Track of the Wolf to make sure I ordered the correct one. How ever, when I went to swap it today, I noticed the nipple is a considerable amount longer than the one that was on the gun when I bought it. It threads in fine, but that extra length does cut down on how far the hammer is traveling (just a little past half cock). Does anyone know if this is okay?
  6. I had something similar happen on a really nice buck a few years ago. I had my bow dead on, and at 20 yds, I clipped him high. I thought I must have hit a branch. Went home, and I was shooting high. All I could figure is that my sight got bumped while I was pulling it up to the stand. It's disappointing, but the consolation is that you didn't wound.
  7. I think it's sound for me as well. Sometimes you just know there's one close, and I have to believe that I heard something and maybe didn't even realize it. There is nothing that will get my blood pumping like hears that steady 4 beat rhythm coming through the leaves.
  8. Sounds to me like you're coming to terms with reality and conceding. Nothing wrong with accepting defeat, and I for one revel in no one's disappointment.
  9. My favorite of the last week was from Weekend Update on SNL. Did you hear the one about the constipated accountant? He couldn't budget, so he had to work it out with a pencil.
  10. I wish I was closer, but I know we have more than a few folks on LI and Westchester on here. Hopefully someone can help get you started.
  11. Welcome, and you have a valid reason for taking up the sport. I hope you can learn the joys of hunting beyond sustenance. It truly is a great way to connect with nature and respect the great gift in this earth we have been entrusted with. Where are you currently located/hunting? I’m sure there are plenty of folks who would be happy to help you and your son get started in this great pursuit.
  12. I thought the same thing. All I can figure is it was killed with a strong left hook.
  13. I don't agree that anything is being stolen. If Biden or Trump wins, I trust our election process. Even though I voted for Biden and am hoping for him to win, I agree that I'm glad the Senate stayed red. If Biden is elected, this should keep the farther left positions that were promoted that I don't agree with from coming to fruition. More importantly, it's going to make people have to work together for the good of the people, which is the most important thing for the US right now. I am sick of the anger and division, and I hope we can all get past it.
  14. You've got this, don't panic. Take your time, and show pics when you find him!
  15. I'll be honest, I don't know that I've ever had much success to speak of with any scents. I only call during pre-rut, and have had much more success with rattling/decoy that I ever did with scents....I'm sure there are plenty of success stories though...
