I am planning on a small food plot for upcoming season, the area had cedar trees on it they have been pulled with back hoe,I'm not sure exactly to prep soil other than tilling and raking.Whats the best approach to testing the soil?also not sure what kind of lime to yeild do I use burned or hydrated this area is not near any water source usually very dry year round.Would like to plant landino clover if this helps with my questions. Its about 30'x60'

Yup I have got alot of shells from then also my Dad was a hoarder of sorts, every time I start sorting it brings back the days he and I spent together, needless to say I get to blubbering and stop sorting. Its realy cool some of the stuff he had like the cleanning kits when they were wood and brass. All the shells have/still in there boxes never wet or extreme heat.

How can i tell if the ammo/bullets that I have are no longer useable?I have several boxes of Remington slugs and shot shells from the mid 1980's do you think these are still good to shoot?also came across some earlyer shells with paper jackets could these still be usable

I was sure that with some of the research that I have done on gunlaws that military active or vetran were exemt from civilian laws.I may be wrong but in my opinion these men and women defend us so I think if they have somethings that the general public dont/cannot have then so be it.Thankyou to all of those that have and will serve our country.

Registering firearms/long guns
Dom replied to Dom's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Well talk about confusion I just did a small search on this topic and now im very confused.Wikipedia Gun Law's in New York, this says all guns have to be registered it is illegal to own any unregistered then this area of the page has a chart for long and hand guns it could just be myself but its a very confusing read.My question for this was not to start a debate of should I or Shouldn't I register it was where and how to do so.I personally would rather spend the money to register them then to be harrased should I be stopped by athority's and have the proof of ownership,Sorry I struck a nerve with some fellow members. -
Very interesting,So the next time I fill my birdfeeder I'm breaking the law.
-
How does a person go about registering long guns?See I only have one that I baught myself all the others were handed down from my Dad so not sure how to handle this some were private sales i'm sure.Do I bring to sherriffs office or some other gun dealer?Would appricate some advice thanks
