Only 10 min drive for myself but I'm going to put up my ground blind Friday and do a sleep/stay in the woods.I hunt state land and most seasons if you get in to late your spot you choose to hunt is already taken/not this year

Does anyone know if there is a legal size or sex a bear has to be to be taken/harvested in the area?I ask because I have seen many bear in the area's I hunt and if giving the chance I want to shoot one.

A few years back I was sitting in a hay wagon and mid morning I see to lady's coming down a trail.They got off their horses and took a pee break not even 10 yard's from me/not 15 mins later I shot a deer where they pee'd. -

Just found out my step daughter is pregnant.I'm very excited and at the same time not sure how to/what to do as a Grand Pa.Not sure boy or girl yet but will be a very proud Poppy

72 degrees this is just a little warm for this time of season.I'm not complaining cause we are saving on the fuel bill's.I have been seeing a few good bucks while on the way to work and 2 road kill Buck's this week alone.to many doe's to count.

Like many have said I wait about a 1/2hour then check arrow and blood if all looks good Imark the first blood and wait 15 min's longer.Hunting mostly state land so I try not to push to other hunter's I have had Deer that I was tracking being gutted by the time I got to it.

How long do you wait to search after shooting?So many times people get excited and push the animal/game and loose tract of blood/sign and then cannot find their kill.Hunting is not just a video/game that can be rewound.If you are unsure about your shot placement then wait to search.

I have had and made it a few times and was thinking has anyone tryed to make with venison.Dryed beef is/has gotten expensive and would like to try and make with venison

Tick's are all over this season pulled from my pets and from myself.I have learned that tick's breath from their backside since then any time I find one on my self I smear peanutbutter on it and it will back itself out

Hey all other than the common apple recipes/pie's sauces does anyone have some other ways of using them.I have tried frying them and just simply baking them and looking for other ideas to try.

Kinda the same weather down this way cool and has been very wet/windy past week or so.If this weather patern continues we will have snow by the end of September early October

Peppers and squash doing great tomatoes lot of blossoms and few green ones waiting for them to be big enough to fry

I think grow is correct on this these guys had this planned no doubt,this is why they cannot be tract by dogs/hounds.they had a helper that provided transportation and food also clothing..If they are still or were on foot the hounds would found them within afew days

I try to get on them when the apple trees are in blume.So far have caught a great amount the black ones taste a little better than the yellow bulls

Nice haul huntingseasons over time to stock up the fresh fish.Was to a local place/farm pond/lake and caught 20 bullhead on Sat yum.Going back next sun to catch more.

I have to keep this one clean.So a recent stop too the supermarket has gotten me very angry.While cheking out this couple in front of my self has their cart loaded down with grocery's they have two youngsters/3-4 years old teh mother pay's with ebt/foodstamps.Her Husband/boyfriend has in his hands 2 30racks of beer and pays with cash.Now I am pissed I so wanted to or wished I could have grabbed him and asked why he was using the system.Scumm

There is so much talk about the colors of deer that we have here in the state.Has anyone ever seen a black deer?I havn't and was thinking Squirrel's have color fazes so why not the deer herds?Just something that came to my mind
