In my opinion we were hunting together so what is the differnce if I use my tags or his we are both legal hunters and have same tag's other than our names
-
Is it legal to tag a Deer that someone else shoots? If I were to hunt with a licensed Deer hunter could I tag them with my tag.
-
Thank's all.I just hope it can heal itself without surgery cause that will even take gun hunting out for the season
-
Since I cant hunt at this time decided to watch some oldie's I came to the conclusion I do not like old Will Premo or Stan Pot's they are not a good view for the modern/youth hunter's.This is only my opinion of these guy's they realy do not teach anything in their show's

Does anyone have a recipe for venison heart spread or know how to make it?I was talking to a buddy of mine and he said his parents used to make it but he is not sure how they made it

Why is it that farmers need these permits to take deer do they not know that the deer is not the problem or is this another way of population control
-
Yes sir that was the info I was looking for thankyou.I ask this because a local farm where we have been watching the deer grow all summer the Buck's that my wife had been seeing are gone,I think they may have been killed.I do not believe they have turned nocturnal but that is also a possible conclusion.
-
How does the state decide who should get nucense permits for deer harvest? Also if they do grant them permission do they have to have and hold a current hunting license?Last of all with said permits can they shoot any deer or just the Doe's?

In Dutchess County I have seen alot of tree's changing,We have one maple almost bare of it's leaves in my back yard.Fall is deffinetly here time to do fall clean up
-
Thats alot of money for pant's.Also this is not the time of year to be purchasing these item's my opinion, the two above mentioned stores are out of my budget I do like browsing and seeing what is new but I have no need at this time for new hunting clothes I have my set of treebark that my dad purchased me 23 years ago and they blend in better than the realtree pattern.I think for that kinda money they should be warenteed for atleast one season. As Paula said Wallmart has some good bargains and of same materials as the season is here.GoodHunting

It's not that I cant wont and will she has more time to do so than I.We all pay the price's just for some reason the Lady's/wives are smarter when it comes to shopping. You and I will purchase at any store and cost is no issue as long as we are doing rite for our family's
-
We do have a garden and grow most of our veggie's we buy our meat directly from local farm, but there are some things we cant make our selves.Agreed Aldi's is a good store but had no time to go there.Deerthug is also correct shopping at bulk store's can get very costly to.
-
No they are a regular grocery store we normally do our shopping in CT but have to much going on to go that way this weekend.picked up some lunchmeat cheese and some other every day need's but dang exspesive this is about what we would spend every 2 weeks on these items.I guess what really pissed me is knowing the money is not going to the farmers
-
Is it myself or are these people crazy with their pricing? just went and did a little shopping at Stopandshop holy crap 85 bucks for 2 bag's no wonder why I let the wife do the shopping. How do they get away with pricing they sure are robbing us of our hard earned money. All I can say is I am glad I have my hunting and fishing license's and for those that do not believe hunting and fishing cut's some grocery cost than you are nut's

Here is an idea to the baiting question/issue if you can go hunt an apple orchard or berry patch. Before all these hunting show's we all see on tv there was never really any issue with baiting deer.I remeber as a child my mom and dad were sucsessfull every season not because there were more deer but the area's they hunted was mostly farm land and apple orchards Having 16 children between them they had to provide and did so legally. If some time down the road baiting becomes legal I may give it a try if I cannot get around on foot
-
Great idea. They do make and sell carts that can be attached to bicycle's not sure where my brother purchased his but he has one that he used when his twins were smaller,I am sure these would work to haul out your game/gear
-
My wife has been growing herbs in garden and asked if I would transplant to flower pot's to keep them growing,I suggested drying and storing them in jar's not sure what to do help please. Also if drying them what do you suggest?
