  1. Hey all, I'm looking to head down to High Tor tomorrow morning for some Fall turkey. Can anyone point me to a good area? I've never been there, so I'm just looking for pointers of where to park and walk in mostly. I'd like to stay out of the way of the bow hunters out there as well, if possible. Spent all day yesterday around Hemlock and Canadice with no luck. Hoping for more action in High Tor. Thanks! ~Anthony
  2. Thanks, I've been through the DEC site quite a bit. While I can find descriptions of the various state lands, I still can't seem to find specific regulations - like what the original poster noted about date restrictions for firearms.
  3. Is there a place online to find the specific regulations for the various parks and wma's? I imagine Sterling isn't the only place with such limitations. Thanks
  4. I took a look around Rose's Marsh yesterday. It's a pretty small area with a couple of nature trails running through it. The underbrush is very thick, but there is one open grassy area with some deer trails feeding into it, near the raptor blind. That's probably the only decent spot I saw. Any more than maybe 2 or three people hunting this property at the same time would be very crowded.
  5. I'm interested as well, as I live in Greece and have a DMP for 8A (which includes Rose Marsh). I had heard that it's a very small huntable area.
  6. Thanks for the reply. I will probably get down there in the next few weeks or so to do some hiking and look around. Sending a PM your way, thanks!
  7. Hi, new member here. Just wondering if anyone hunts or has hunted the Honeoye Creek WMA in 8H? Never been there, and I'm wondering if it's worth trying. Thanks! ~Anthony
