Well , Mama ain't here !

I have gotten a few calls telling me I have a problem with a Credit Card and they could give me a better interest rate . I tell them thanks for the heads up and hang up . I don't carry a balance and pay the card when I see the bill . If I am bored , I may let them talk for a while . It's their dime .

The trap is one from Tractor Supply . I had to do some repairs after catching Mama raccoon last year . Also the food container was empty last year on two occasions without the door being tripped . I realized that the trip plate wasn't long enough and a raccoon could reach beyond it to get the food . I clipped a section of one of the Bag a Bug holders which extended the trip plate and that did the trick . I have a regular heavy duty Have a Heart trap but I don't care for how the Door works . The lever that holds the door shut falls by gravity rather than slamming shut by a strong spring .

There were over 350 pictures . If I held the button down , it was almost like watching a movie . The bandit never fell .

Luckily you didn't have to give the dog mouth to mouth . Nothing worse than dog breath .... well , almost nothing !

I get calls from Florida , Kali-Fornia , Ohio , etc . If I don't recognize the number , I don't answer . I check my phone messages to see if there is anything I should be aware of . I have a land line hooked up to a FAX machine and I never answer it . Only 3 people plus Time Warner / Spectrum know the number but it gets calls several times a day . Gee , why don't they send me a fax ? When we used to have a regular land line I would answer the phone . They would ask for Mr McDonald and I would say just a minute , call out loud for Dad ( he died in 1979 ) , put the phone down and walk away . After a while I would hear a buzzing as the caller had hung up . It doesn't do any good to call anyone about the calls because the callers are smart and can change numbers . I have searched some numbers and found them to be from near NYC . Uptown Redneck might be making calls from his Mom's basement .

Inventoried Stands and Trail Cams at my SIL's in Geneseo yesterday . Got the coordinates of each item and just finished logging them down in Open Office and filed the list . 12 stands and 7 cameras on 67 acres .

I got rid of a mama raccoon last year and I think one of her litter remembered my yard . It has been into to feeders for about 3 nights . Put out the trail cam last night and got over 300 pictures as it spent almost 50 minutes feeding . The trap is set ..

I went to Geneseo to help my SIL . While I was there I checked my trail cams and to see how wet the woods were . As I was walking down the laneway I came across a dead rabbit . It was missing it's head . Everything else was intact . Thought it was pretty weird !

I think this is the deer that the guy's wife missed with 5 shots . No wonder she missed .

In my opinion , I think that hunters that won't shoot does is because they think it will hurt the population of the herd . No doubt , they probably have the mind set that shooting a buck is a Macho thing . People that know I hunt often ask how my season went . On a couple occasions last year I was asked if I got a buck . I said no but I got 4 doe . Both guys gave the look like loser , you only shot doe and no buck . I told one of them that I have plenty of venison in the freezer and ask if he have any of the meat left from the Spike that he shot . That shut him up . Another guy that lives close to me has a Christmas tree farm . He and his neighbor have a combined total of 540 acres that they hunt together . No one else can hunt the property . They will only shoot bucks with 8 points or more .

Yaeh , I get quite a few of those the flash reflects off the deer and they are all white ....... Put a sign on the camera that says "keep back 3 feet from the camera" !
