I am starting to like this store more and more . I got another pamphlet with a Free $10 purchase coupon and another coupon for 150 points equal to $5 towards Field & Stream / DICKs Reward points . Bought a box of Remington .380 ammo that was originally $19.99 .... on sale for $14.98 and I paid $5.38 . Not bad for a box of 50 ---- .380 rounds .

Yupper ......... one post and gone !

Not much time left in the season so my youngest son and I will head for a spot on Cambier Road in Marion / Newark area . The owner said not many deer sightings there but it has also been under hunted so who knows . The temps are forecasted to be in the 40's . Just another sit in the great outdoors . If I see nothing by 10 am , I will take a slow walk through the woods and see if I can push anything to my son . The downside is ..... if we see a buck , we can't shoot it .

I had a 7 cu ft chest freezer that had a 12 month warranty . It crapped out after 13 months . Went to get some meat out and there was condensation on the inside of the lid . No idea how long it was off . Lost most of the meat . Bought another one . I have a sensor in the freezer and the thermometer next to my Computer . The freezer is 5 degrees right now . If it goes , I will know .

I have gutted , skinned and cut up deer when it has been 70 - 80 degrees out without any spoil . Some of the processors don't have a cooler and you deer may get processed at a later time than when you could do it . Whatever works for you ..........

Too hot ? It's 48 degrees here in Ontario .

I mowed the front and side yard and got 5 1/2 bags of grass and leaves . Gotta finish the back tomorrow or Monday .

If they get installed backwards , they attract deer instead of scaring them .

The guy I work part time for doing Real Estate signs , hit a doe this am around 6:15 with his Toyota Truck . Did a lot of damage to the bumper , fender , headlight , etc .. His truck only has 350,000 miles on it and he just had the frame replaced along with brakes and a few other things . Damn Varmints !

I havn't seen many cars / trucks parked where I used to see them when going hunting . Less participation / less deer movement .

For a cheap , no cost cutting board , here is what I did . I asked a home builder to save me a couple of the formica cutouts from when they were going to install a large kitchen sink . They are about 21" X 31" . The cutouts work great and all it cost me was a dozen donuts . If you know someone who is remodeling their kitchen and replacing the counters , have them save a length of the counter for you . Cut that to the size you want . I was in Country Max yesterday . I saw where they have a lot of Weston grinders , bags , jerky mixes , seasonings , etc . Just what is needed to help with your venison .

It almost sounds hypocritical to say it was a shame that the deer died by a vehicle rather than being shot with an arrow or bullet . Never the less , it was a shame ! That buck should be mounted on a wall with it's antler embedded in a fender . Now , that would be a conversation piece .

Oh crap ! My urologist told me I would have a stent in for 5 days and it would feel uncomfortable . He also told me the problems that could occur during the procedure . January 13 is the big day . Day-um !

I will be heading to Walworth in a few minutes to sit in the dark . I am not expecting to see anything this am but you never know . Today might be the day to fill another tag . I can't shoot them from the computer .

I had a hard time finding any 25-06 cartridges in stores and if I did they were never on sale and quite pricey . I have a 7-30 waters barrel on my TC pistol . The only manufacturer that make any cartridges is Federal . Had a heck of a time finding any . Therefore I reload for both of those . Problem solved .

Going to sit at a friend's property in Walworth tomorrow am ....... 20 miles round trip versus the normal 100 mile drive . Tracks there but very few time pictures on the trail camera . These sits are killing me as I have a lot of back pain . Gonna have a kidney stone removed January 13 . They will go through my Urethra and my muscles tighten up when I think about it . My Urologist said it's a fairly large stone and plans to break it up with a lazer .

As far as the Trail Cams go , I have been getting pics of the deer during the Dark hours and very few during daylight hours . I was getting pics of a couple of nice Walworth bucks when they were logging a mile down the road . Now that that is done , I hevn't seen the big boys . We were seeing bucks in Pittsford and Mendon but they have also gone into stealth mode . They are probably staying in the parks until night time .

Guys from the Naples area hunt that property and drive the woods . They have taken 2 deer since gun season started . We saw a lot of bucks there in the summertime .

Went out this afternoon in a spot in Victor off Route 251 . Didn't see a darned thing !
