We were in the same situation last year. Hanging on for that email about making an ECNL U15 team. It came at the last minute before we were going to commit to another EDP team. She made the team. It was here dream to play with the best ECNL was it. Well a year has gone by now and we left. The fit wasn't right with the coach. He did some shitty things to his players and we could not stand it anymore. We pulled the plug after the last game for the season. They actually did real well and made the Nationals in San Diego. No way were we going with this guy running the ship. She tried out for a few teams and made each one, not boasting but she didn't even try out just went to open practices and the coaches granted her a spot on the team. We move on and learn a lesson. I'm sure your daughter played against some of our friends in EDP, Lake Grove Newfield is one team. Good luck!

OMG when I lived in EastNorthport there was this scrap guy. Same deal messy yard but had a fence around the junk. He would come and take anything you had but best of all was such a great guy! lol maybe same guy.

Yeah it gives us downstaters a bad name. Some just want to live in the country and have it their way. Watch out for the ones that just don't complain but start getting involved in the local government. This has been going on for a real long time. I can remember I was very close to moving up to my Brother in laws area in Burdett. I was young around 25, didn't happen but he told me this, "you come up here and you keep your mouth shut and just listen for a while" I thought this was good advice. Too bad many others don't do this when relocating.

Im surprised they picked my place. The nearest woods is 40 yards away. Pretty open for them to dash to the nest from the woods. I should prop up a big plastic Owl on the eve of the cabin.

My neighbor found him climbing the wall this morning acting real funny. Saw he got into the poison. He backed out and will check later today for the dead body. It would be nice when this ends.

Speaking of ladders. To get to the hole it was at the top of the eve. I opened the window and got a strong rope and put on my safety harness.Tied it to the post on the staircase. I cinched it all the way up and never looked down. To kill a deer I'll go 20' up but squirrels! lol

So I get up there. I find out Red Squirrels are living in the eve of the cabin. I shoot one of the adults Saturday morning. Closed up the hole but left open a small area for the other one to come out of. Sunday morning I see it leave so I screwed it shut. Mistake #1 she had young ones in there and came back during the day and got back in by making a new hole in the eve . I made sure they had a way out before I left I guess there are young ones up there? I Will they come back? Did see an all white coyote along rt 21 near Hornell. It was really cool. Just did so much damn work it was amazing I stayed awake on the drive home!

I've got a real old one. Still works fine but pretty beaten up. Like "let em grow" said put bigger tires on it. I cut a bunch of saplings down some one year and I was hitting them with the front guard. I also used it behind my mower and angled it off and had a pretty wide cut right there!

It could be the meddle of January downstate gun hunting. If the temps break 40 degrees those buggers are out in force. Had like 30 ticks on me when this played out one year. When I was a kid we had a place in the Hamptons. My brothers and I would be in the woods all day and on occasion had a tick or two. BTW ticks are bad but we also have Chiggers that bite the hell out of you. Gives you a rash for days and you cant stop scratching.

Ok so the last few weeks I have noticed so many rodents. Chipmunks, Rabbits, squirrels, mice and rats. Is this the Chinese new year of the rodent! lol Whats going on?

Coming from an Italian family there is no such thing as jar sauce. Unless it was created by one of the woman in the family!
