"My mom wrote this song: 'Fishing in the Sky' about 30 years ago and recorded it on a cassette tape. Last year when Travis and I were up here for Christmas, we listened to it. Travis has been recording some music lately; and about three weeks ago, I pitched the idea to Travis to get the lyrics and look into recording it. He remembered the song, and was genuinely interested. Today, I had the pleasure of sharing the finished product with my mom. Her reaction is priceless."

So true! I posted his death on another hunting website. I didn't get one reaction to it. So sad the younger generation needs to read a bit more and learn about these beautiful animals and Charlie's studies. -

Of course the Wheaten kicks her ass but she wont give up! -
She is taking on her older brother twice her weight! They are getting along great. I am so happy with her. Basically potty trained in two weeks. It helps if you have another dog to help her along and of course me to take her out at 3am...omg!

Mine are used on the property. Certain times of year we get together with the neighbors and ride everyones property. Its a good time! -
Build a couple of permanent blinds. Add a variety of brushy trees to the lower part of my property. Plant a bunch of apple trees. Do some selective cutting. Finally buy a crossbow and hunt with it in 2018.

Nice picture. These animals are tough. They look nice and healthy though hope Mother Nature takes it easy on them in March.

Well from my area the comment that keeps on coming up when we look at trail picts is that the bucks have broken or screwed up racks. Even the small ones will have uneven sides, missing sides or just broken off. I'm close to Let em Grow and think minerals have something to do with this. Then again we are right in the heart of Ag country thought the soil would be better. I don't know.

Can you shotgun in that area? If so maybe hunters moving them around.

Turned around a few times, I don't like the feeling at all. You really have to keep it together in the big woods!

I'm really not sure. I'll ask him see if he has any other info.

I do it all the time. Just remember to blow out everything when you leave. Might have some lines that will be a bit frozen but get that heat going. My pain in the butt piece of plumbing is the trap for the shower. Its under the cabin and tends to freeze when cold and windy. Usually last one who takes a shower put anti freeze into it. It will take a while for the house to heat up so be patient and dress warm!

When you check in a deer at the Ridge check station they age it and sometimes weigh it. Brother shot a doe a few years back and it aged at 9 years old.

I don't think so. They do a great job on all the roads and use some heavy equipment. HellI was in Northport this afternoon and they were trucking out the snow on main street with backhoes and dump trucks. We get it done !
