spent the last 4 days at the cabin. Didn't see many turkey but my neighbor said he has seen plenty. Saw a bunch of doe and 1 set of fawn tracks. Smallest tracks I have ever seen. Hope it makes it through this wet and cold spring. Place is in good shape for the summer. Cut the lawn and got all the toys running. I did meet with the manager of the proposed wind farm and they cancelled the leases in my area. Seems as though they are getting too much opposition on the north side of 17 in Howard making it too expensive to run a transmission line. Oh well so it goes......

So here we are April 2017. 19 months after I purchased the route. I just sold it yesterday…….I'm very happy! Unfortunately I lost two stores in the beginning which hurt my bottom line. A&P went bankrupt a month after I bought. It was a difficult time but I hung in there but came to the decision that my life was being run by this business. Very limited time at the cabin and hunting season. Although my afternoons were free come 8:oo I was in bed cause I would be getting up at 3:30 am. Right now going to spend the weekend watching my kids soccer games and celebrating my Dad's 85 bday! Monday off to the cabin for 3-4 days of RnR!

Local guy that works at the dealership saw my brother in his truck. He questioned him about the frame, he knew nothing about it. They looked and it was rotted through in spots. Dealer has it now for the fix.

Just an FYI on these trucks. My brother has an 05. It is in for another recall for the body frame rotting out. Dealer said its a $16,000 job to fix. Be safe…. http://money.cnn.com/2017/04/27/news/companies/toyota-recall-rear-axel/index.html

You mean catching squid or using squid to catch Stripped bass? If it's catching squid I never heard of this before. Lived on LI all my life and fished a lot. I used to scuba dive and at times in the sound we would encounter massive schools of squid. They would be mating and the males were all lit up trying to attract females. The guys died after mating and you would see the floor loaded with them dead, poor bastards! lol

Plumbing quote for new main from house to sewer.
First-light replied to First-light's topic in General Chit Chat
Last weekend had a backup into the first floor toilet and bath tub. Called a plumber and they did the clean out of the pipe from house to sewer. Said it was an old tarpaper pipe that needed to be fixed. They said they came upon an area during the clean out that didn't seem right, was giving them issues. They said it was most likely a break in the pipe. I'm not pulling the trigger on this one. I want more estimates and alternatives. Any help you can send my way would be appreciated. FL -

FYI if thats an old cinder block septic tank you may want to replace it with a precast. Here on long Island there have been times where these old block tanks cave in and people have died. Just have a pro look at it.
