  1. You never want any problems with your neighbors. Try to avoid conflict at all costs. He did talk a load of BS with you so you see that he can't be trusted right away. The cam should go back to him, he knows who's stand that is. Take it down and let him know if he comes arose the owner he can give it back to them. Next thing to do is post the land. Let him know you are doing this just so everyone knows the boundaries and to keep trespassers off. I would also let him know of your hunting intentions. Being that you only have 11 acres watch where you put your stands especially if he owns a lot more acreage. I meaning border hunting. There are pages and pages of thoughts about stand placement along borders just do what you feel is right. Just know that you may have to explain to him why you're set up on a border of the property. It can lead to all kind of conversation……lol
  2. Sorry for your loss. Good buddies like that never get replaced. RIP
  3. Where can I buy a Mulberry bush-tree?
  4. Plot coming in nicely! Other pict is just the view from the east side of property!
  5. Property will be withdrawn this week, taxes were paid. In a way I'm glad it can wait.
  6. This property has had my eye on it for a while. I know it well and hopefully can make a winning bid without breaking the bank.
  7. Awesome deer buddy! They grow big in these parts!!!
  8. Thanks all I'll let you know how it goes next Friday!
  9. Anyone have experience with these things? Percentage of value you should bid…….. Thanks FL
  10. Yeah he said he planted yesterday. Do you guys see a problem, let me know and I'll question him.
  11. Here it is. Oats, clover and turnips. In the honey hole surrounded by woods. Deer will feed all day long as long as I get the guys and gals on board how to approach the plot.
  12. Hunt more hours. The last two years I have spent as little as 6 days in the woods. I own the woods this year!
  13. When I was younger, going back into my early 20's seeing deer and shooting a big racked deer were top priorities. Heck if you shot a big one it was hung on display for all to see. You received praise about your accomplishment which meant you were a good hunter. It felt good, looked good and meant everything to bagging that big one. Now at the age of 54 I could give a hoot about all that. It's me against them. I put in my home work and hopes it pays off. I don't need to hang a big one for everyone to see it just brings attention and trespassers!
  14. After giving this much thought I'm going to hold off right now. I was quoted a price of $4500 for a 30x40 pond, banks seeded and fish included. I was thinking 3-3500 for that size pond. My final thought is to hold off until I can afford a much bigger pond. Spend the extra money and really have something worth it.
  15. I used something similar in the bathroom in my cabin. It's 7 years old and looks great also water tight!
  16. Thanks for the info! I won't use the pond to hunt over. We have water on the bottom side of my property that keeps the critters watered! Just have to see how much it will cost then I'll decide.

  18. I have always wanted to add a pond within view of my cabin to my property. Want to stock it with bluegill and bass. be big enough to swim in and skate on in the winter. My brother inlaw has a bunch on his farm and they all vary in size. Any suggestions would be great. FL
  19. On Long Island we see that. Long curly hoofs, kinda gross looking.
  20. While driving down through the Catskills just above Roscoe I saw this awesome buck. He was so far along creating horn I couldn't believe it. had at least 4 on each side he was very wide and tall. Will he grow through August or is he just an rely starter and taper off while others still grow? He was a sight to see!
