What the hell just happened. The last two days I can't stay outside. These pests are all over like never before. Any ideas?

Blood stains were pretty much contained to that area. You have to be right about it getting caught. It's all but gone now. There was an eagle eating off of it this morning.

Yeah but not skinning it. That is the weird part.

Ok on the main road to 86 I see this deer thought it was two. Dead in the road crows and buzzards all over them. I get close its not two deer just one. The skin and head were ripped right off the body cavity. There lays the skin and there lays the body. No it was not skinned by someone for meat cause you can see the roasts and Loins, most of the loins picked over. It just amazes me.

Nice deer! Yeah been talking to a few of my neighbors about letting the 2.5 year olds walk. Majority of the deer by me grow nice racks at 2.5 and get shot. But what's missing is the mass. They aren't old enough to have huge mass and that is what I want this year and moving forward.

So what is the deal 4 season jump in. These deer get no special attention. They grow huge horns. Do you have one better than that? Enclosed in an area and left to breed and grow. Share on this please you are the expert. Would love to know your thoughts.

My dogs print. Black Mouth Cur 90 lbs. You can see the nail mars above pads. I think its a cat for sure.

My dogs eat the plums off my tree as far as they can reach! I don't have any Grey squirrels by my house but the Reds are all over. Those get too close to the house and they get popped. They ate right through my wood siding and had babies in my attic one year. What a pain.

I'm not far from him. Actually my spot is just as good!

Just talked to my neighbor to the north. We were thinking to give the 2.5 year old a pass. I have been doing that but that is going to be a hard sell for everyone else. That 10 point split brow tine is my target buck, along with the really wide 8 in previous posts.

I think its the last two pictures of a clover plot planted in the beginning of August. Clover, Chicory, Radish and oats. Some real nice deer this year.

Now I'm not in my woods all the time. I do live here and will go cut trees, take the dogs for a walk and mow my paths. It doesn't bother the deer. I think we all "over think" pushing deer out of your area if you out and about. If you have good cover and food they will be right back in it after you leave.

Foxes, dogs and cats all have four symmetrical toe pads with two in front and two to the side. Cats have retractile claws so leave no claw prints, but dogs and foxes do. Maybe some type of big cat I see no claw marks?

Rented a man lift from pinicle in Hornell. Machine was great and I felt safe doing the job myself. My big project done, now to shooting bows, cross bows and guns.!

I burn mostly dead ash. Mixed in is Cherry and oak. all seasoned.

There was a hunt club across from us. I saw one day a load of carrots coming in for bait! lol They were good guys never had a problem.

Hey guys, I should clean my stove pipe this year. Now I'm on a website "old wood stoves" its pretty cool. I asked and some guys say they don't clean it. Just have a really hot fire will do it. Others say you should do it every year or every third year. Any thoughts on the subject and how would I do it from in the house. My pipe is just too high on my metal roof to get at. Thanks, FL

You know there is 15,000 acres to hunt on that hill. There was no acces point to park a vehicle just drop off places for snow mobiles and hikers. Now 30 years ago there were fields we would back into. Set up camp, even the boy scouts were there. It is so much more difficult now. I don't want to think about about 100 years from now. My girls get my place and in my will we be something said about preserving this place for future generations like your Father has done for you. Roscoe looked beautiful but trying to access it to hunt these days is a joke.
