I don't know yet. I'll decide in the spring what to do. Probably donate to needy families.

While at the cabin this weekend we watched a video I produced back in 1996. I started filming hunts in the early 90's and put this film together with the first version of final cut pro. The video ended up being 1.5 hrs. It took a really long time to produce and I'm proud of the work. The first part has crunching leaves from a deer and the sound of a humans heartbeat getting faster and faster. I took a video last night with my IPhone of the Introduction. A little piece of history for me something new for you…... IMG_0236 22.mov

Just got back from the cabin. Had a really nice weekend with my Brother-in-law. We cleaned the cabin, posted the new land and checked out the contents of the single wide that was on the new property. You could imagine what is i this place. It has been a camp for my neighbors for about 30 years. There are all sorts of things too much to list. I want them to come back and take some of the keep-sakes but I don't know if they will make it. Posting of the property went well although I could not find my roll of posted signs. We did look in the trailer on the new property and found a whole bunch of the red plastic ones! Saw some deer tracks, not as many as I would like and a bear track. All is good in Howard can't wait to get back!!!! Here are some picts from the weekend!

Doc you are so right. The Old-Timers tell me you go through a phase trying everything. I'm past that now and just munch on a few things here and there. Can quickly put the lost weight back on you from being so active!

Looking forward to that this weekend, enjoy your peace!

Yes Pepperidge Farm snack rout. Spent 25 years in the publishing bushiness at Time Inc. They had enough of me last year and let me go. Wanted to do something completely different and have more time with my kids. Brother has a Stella dora route and Brother inlaw has a Martins bread rout. So its in the family….lol

Since I started my new business its been tough to get away. I'm sneaking out between a Milano and Goldfish sale this week and will have someone covering my stores. It was tough the first six months worrying about every little detail but now I feel good about the change in my life. Last 25 years left the house at 7 came home at 8 spent 3.5 hours commuting. Now leave the house at 5 home at 2. Life is good owning my own business. The time spent with my girls in the afternoon is priceless. Yes we don't have so much time spent at the cabin but it pays off being around all the time when they need you………..

I have a Wheaten Terrier with a real sensitive stomach. The only thing he gets is zero grain dog food. Some raw meat and cheese at times. The zero grain diet really keeps him fit.

Defrosting some tenderloin medallions that will be pan fried in butter with onions. They will be placed on some Jewish Rye bread with Swiss cheese. Yummmm!

Like Grow said White Spruce are good and the deer don't bother them. I planted a load of the 8 years ago, pencil size seedlings from Saratoga nursery, some are now 7-8' tall. Good luck with your choice. Grow none of my trees were ever rubbed. Then again there is so much more around to rub maybe that is why??

I'm 52 years old and never was allergic to anything in my life. In the past month I had 3 allergic reactions to food. Ist time I went to the ER because my lips and lower face swelled up. 2nd time was to Urgent care because my tongue became twice the size. 2 nights ago it was just my chin that became swollen which took a day to get back to normal. I now have an Epi pen that travels with me and will be seeing an allergist. Anyone else develop adult alleges???? They say it could be environmental meaning my change of jobs has me working in more sterile conditions thus my immune system isn't as strong. Frustrating and scary at times. 2/3 of episodes a common food was peanuts. The reaction though didn't happen right away it took a few hours. FL

So my pedestal mount is in the works right now. Seeing your pictures I just love the log and other stuff behind the deer. Did you do that or the Taxidermist?

Seems so risky for that bird to take on such large prey. Surprised its wing did not break. -

Plumber forgot to run pipes for kitchen sink when we had an apartment added to our house. They poured the slab foundation so he had to run them in the attic. Needless to say the cold water pipe freezes when it gets real cold. I put heat tape on it to solve the problem. BTW I used to use heat tape on my pump at a cabin I had in the Catskills years ago. The place I have now doesn't need it cause there is a check valve in the pipe. This is what the Well guy told me and I never had a problem.

It sounds wonderful, I wouldn't have a problem sending my 13 year old away for a month. You can visit which will be great. My 15 and 12 year old went away last year to Cortland for a week. They were involved in the field hockey and soccer camp. Sounds like your daughter is pretty mature and will handle things fine…….congrats it will be a great experience!
