Bring it up in conversation that you saw his setup. Be nice and explain ti him to be careful because it is illegal to use the salt lick for deer. Don't make it sound like you will turn him in or anything like that. I can see people using these things for pictures but when season roles around and a nice deer is hitting the thing it will be hard to take away.

Not too many from me. Can't remember when the last time I aw spots on a fawn at bow season, maybe 20 years ago???

Back then it was the same way for me. Now 25 years later it still is a great night but sleep is a priority.

The one thing he guys said about the time before 1 buck rule everyone was always pitted against each other, our own worst enemy………..

Funny but I can remember years ago when I first started out figuring where I needed to move my stand. Later in life my stand seems to stay put. Not that I'm too old to move but why break something that aint broke…….always get a shot at a big one from that stand. (connecting is the hard part) lol

Tractor supply trees.....
First-light replied to growalot's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Off topic but the prices on dog and cat food are great. I buy all natural no grain so it can get pricey. I buy a couple of big bags each time I'm up. Wish I had some time to plant those trees….. -
Fitst year they used the new system all my tags where screwed up. The guy called the DEC and said they will mail all the correct tags. I felt the same as you hut they all came in time.

It's been a long time since I took two bucks in one season. I live at a distance from my camp but I can see it different to the guy who has a lot of time and would like a shot at a second buck? It kind of locks everything up together. You want meat shoot some does, trophy hunter no problem you are looking for the biggest deer and will let the small ones walk. "Brown its down" are going to have to take some valium cause you will need to know its a doe to shoot.

So sitting around the campfire along with a few hunters from Ohio they just can'y believe that NY hasn't gone to the 1 buck rule. It grows big deer and cuts down on the doe population. These guys read some of the NY forums and see how hunter vs hunter are pitted against each other. They say 1 buck rule kind of rolls everything up into 1 rule. You are done when you shoot your buck wether small or big. You need meat you go back out and shoot the does. AR's come into place cause guys are letting the small ones walk. I haven't made up my mind on this but it sounds pretty good and would solve some of the issues her in NY. Thoughts….?

We are seeing a lot of buck in 8P. In fact my neighbor told me today one of the Farmers that has to use my property as an access stopped by and talked to him. All he talked about is the huge bucks he keeps on seeing. This guy could care less about deer, something is up!!!

Had to run to my rental in Corning, tenant moved out. Former tenant left the place spotless!! Person coming in to see it falls in love with the place and gives me cash for first month and security deposit. (that doesn't suck) Headed to my brother in laws for dinner and his wife calls out the bucks are out in the field. We sit on his porch and glass 7 deer three bucks 4 doe. 1 buck was a 140+ deer. Beautiful 10 point that had it all... along with a big body. They all were eating apples.. It was a good weekend!!

The bear by me love to scratch up one utility pole on my property. I hang a stand where he passes in the woods.

The UPS driver always knows where the big ones are. Especially if his route is in his hunting area.

https://www.qdma.com/articles/ticked-off-no-more-venison If it's more related to the number of bites one receives and the allergy I would be more worried about hunting Long Island.
