  1. I can't believe people are still talking about this....give it up.
  2. Yes he did, it was looking right at him. That gun I have is pretty deadly (1187) with a scope on it.
  3. He just checked in the deer, get this....7.5 years old! The more I look at it I think it's a lama! lol
  4. Well it didn't take long after that post. # is up to 13 and he bagged a nice doe!!! They saw three out in the burnt out area of #6. Managed to get within a 100 yards and smoked the big doe. Heart shot (he was using my 1187) dead on!! Father Daughter hunt and they got it done once again!!!! BTW he thinks this a very old doe. Very white looking and shows some age. I'll post the age once checked in at RP.
  5. Real nice! They did one for me years ago and it still looks wonderful.
  6. Brother and his daughter are back at Otis Pike today. They went on stand by. Place was pretty empty and had a good choices to pick from. He just called and said he counted 10 so far today. All we pushed by him, they are holding tight and busting out at the speed of light!!!
  7. This downstate idiot that elected all those downstate idiot politicians liked what President Obama had to say. It's a start and the battle has begun.
  8. For people who are so worried about their 2nd amendment rights I haven't seen one person break down what's going on in Albany. There is a thread for it but nothing. Just see a lot of back and forth, separation from upstaters and downstaters which is crazy. Cracking at the seems is what I see here. I saw a school of mossbunker being chased by large bluefish one day. After they were chased up the shore they were gasping in the shallows for one last breath. This is what it reminds me of. If it's so important read the whole thing and make an educated statement, how it really really impacts you.
  9. I wonder how many hunters own AR type of weapons?? In my group which consists of some hard core gun enthusiasts, I can't remember anyone shooting or talking about owning one.
  10. Thanks Elmer! We all have our opinions and I speak for myself. I totally understand the passion some of you guys have for your firearms. Fight the good fight for what you think is right.
  11. WoW....Double WoW! These guys are scary good!!!!!!!!! Got to love hockey announcers!!
  12. I am a liberal gun owner. Voted for obama the last two elections. I am putting myself out on a line here. look, this is a hunting website with some very passionate gun owners. i just want you to know that I, explain the reason to anti gun activists why people enjoy shooting "the assault weapons" the media portrays as the bad weapons of choice. I am out there telling people what it is like to behind a weapon like that and to shoot at a target. I do my best to explain it but we are on opposite sides of the fence. I don't know where we all fit in, the hunting community. You, I, we or something else??? Our guns will not be taken away, but some liberties will be lost. At what cost?? Human life, is it worth it? I say yes. This whole tangled web of gun control is running its course right now. You go and march on state capitals on Jan 19th is your choice, I won't do it. Some type of compromise has to take shape. I am not going to nit pick, too much of that going on, but to walk away and say no compromise is not an option. I hope one day I can look out upon America a know that private gun owners have their weapons in a safe place. That their families are known for mental illness and they don't have access to these guns. High capacity clips are outlawed for the reason we don't need them. A hope that inner city hand gun violence is tackled the same way as assault weapon violence in America. I applaud your passion for what you believe in but at times I don't understand at what cost. I didn't write this to get a rise out of you right wing gun owners. Hunters (right or left) own guns so we are one within. It is just a very complicated issue especially in the times we are in right now.
  13. Looks cool! Yea my project was going to clean my gun from last Thursday but......brother borrowed it for a hunt out east Wednesday. Oh well always next weekend!
