  1. I like the ladder stands but they do limit you on movement. The platform you stand on isn't very big. I have a combination of ladder stands and hang-ons that use climbing sticks.
  2. Here is Mac taken care of business at home. He is a 7 year old Wheaten Terrier. He is pictured with his adopted brother Rickey.
  3. Way to go Elmo! BTW what trail cam did you use for that shot.........Congrats!
  4. I have the same situation. We post the heck out of the power lines. Never had a problem with people hunting it. It's my property, I post it.
  5. I saw a lot also on my 6 hr trip to the cabin. Included was a bear at exit 112.
  6. I was up at my place this weekend. Two weekends ago we saw a litter of fox pups. I went back yesterday to see how they were and found the place empty. I looked into the hole and there lay a dead pup. It was a good size all curled up but no sign of life.
  7. Was coming through around 7 am Saturday morning and saw a small bear dead in the middle median. I called the DEC and they took the report. Couldn't of been more than 50-75 lbs. Poor fella.
  8. I have tried no plow and throw and grow. Both worked pretty good. Lime was the key with both. looks like she is coming in. Had all kind of animals visiting a plot that was just about the same size as your plot. Good luck.
  9. OT but I moved an apple tree last Sept. it went into shock and I thought it died. Went up to camp last weekend and had new growth all over it. I'm a happy camper!
  10. That should be published. It's great seeing how Hunters care so much for the wildlife in this state. Hats off to you Wooly! I'm sure this story could run in NYON.
  11. Good deal, love the BB bat in the gun rack!
  12. Real cool, have to put an orange vest on her during season or lock her in your barn!!
  13. Folks, Any idea where I can buy clapboard siding in the Corning area. My rental needs some replacement boards and a paint job. Thanks-
  14. Sorry Belo I don't know how to tell them apart. I planted two peach trees this weekend. Buddy brought them up from Maryland. Said they were descendants from the original peach orchard in Gettysburg.
  15. Just got in. Saturday we had 5 deer, 1 fox and a hen come into the decoys. No gobbling heard at all. Sunday we encountered the fox again and her pups. 3 of them kept us entertained for two hours. Checked the den before we left, remains of a turkey were found! A couple of gobbles in the distant but not much of anything happening. Zach loved the mount and will bring to his Vermont camp. Be back at it in two weeks.
  16. Here we go for 2013! I'll be leaving tonight around 5:30 to make the trip to camp. Be meeting my friend Craig and his son Zach for a weekend of Turkey hunting and Trout fishing. It's a special trip, Zach lays eyes on his first buck that was mounted this year! The weather looks great the only thing we will be short of this weekend is sleep!
  17. Good luck, I'm sure it will all work out.
  18. Nice my man. Wanted "dead or alive" any coyote, but there are so cute when they are defenseless little pups. Twisted-eh?
  19. Cool pict, I've not seen one in the wild.
  20. That sucks. I just saw a guy on the train that looked just like him. Rest in peace "Possum" loved your music!
  21. It was going on outside my office window yesterday, it always is a good time for all involved. Most teams have tractor trailers painted up with the team logo and colors, that is pretty cool to see.
