I have the 10th, fist time and don't know what to expect? Been getting some tips from guys who have hunted out there. Should be fun!

That a good idea about growing them in pots. I did that a few years back and the trees took real nice. You really can give a good start this way. I actually used plastic window boxes sold at HD. Placed a bunch of seedlings in each one.

I shot a real nice buck, 7 pt with a 22" spread about 20 years ago. This was in shotgun territory. Looking over the deer I noticed a lump in the upper part of one of the front legs. I opened up the area with a knife and found the cardboard wadding from a slug. Crazy stuff.......

Headed to the cabin in an hour. Neighbor said there is about 16" of the white stuff. If possible may walk a bit with the dog for some bunnies. If not it will be a hangout weekend at camp. Going to visit family over in Schuyler county Saturday night.

I got PJ's from the kids. I did take advantage of my 13 year old and bought her a Diamond Razor edge bow. It will be fun seeing her shooting a big girl bow!

I have bear and deer sharing the same areas. I would have a trail cam pict of a bear and a deer crosses it 5 minutes later. The day I saw 6 bears I also saw a lot of deer in the same area. Never were the deer on alert. One of the bears came right into my mock scrape 3 times. He just couldn't get enough of code red buck urine???

I'm thinking the same thing. My camp is on a seasonal road but the cabin is just past my neighbors place. He is full time so they plow up to his driveway. If they would just go another 400 feet!! lol. It is what it is.I just deal with it. At least I'm not that far and can walk it in.

Be on the stove in an hour!! I'll let you know how I do.

November 10th. didn't harvest a thing but saw a number of nice buck, 6 bears and a coyote. That was the day...........

We were out at my parents place in Bailting hollow. We have the LI gun season coming up so we went over to check out the area. Saw a bunch of turkey by the beagle club property off Edwards ave. saw a few doe on the way to our spot.

Making this tomorrow!!! It will be a hang out day with the girls, should be good!

Accidental pool drowning or a massive killing by a gun. can't blame the instrument????? Being logical??? grief is grief that is correct. No I'm not compassionate because I jumped on the anti gun bandwagon. I have always thought this way. It will make a difference if one person isn't killed after some type of negotiations take place and some new thinking comes about. You want to talk about compassion don't f-ing come down my street buddy!

Bad, bad equation stated here. Freedoms of the people, violet deaths, school age children die at the hands of a madman with a long gun, not a drowning in a pool or a car accident. I really just don't know how to comprehend how you can equate these types of shootings to an accidental drowning at some ones pool. I'm trying though..........

Hah, what the hell is this?

Why can't there be change. The change I would like to see is a national gun registry, limit the clip, magazine loads, that can go into a gun and if you own the gun you are responsible for it. I hear many talk about the responsible gun owner gets screwed. Would you be willing to own any gun of your choice but it comes with a disclosure. The gun must be kept in a gun safe that only you have the combination. You want to own the gun fine but if it is used in a crime, taken from your home, you are liable. Now if you are a responsible gun owner no problem those weapons have to be kept in something like a Browning gun safe. You are not getting into that.,.....
