Charlie this is Teddi's dog Kit. She is 6 years old and a sweetheart. Not a hunting dog but best companion!
-
Thank you and congrats to your daughter. Yes it goes fast, too fast!
-
Great looking dog Charlie! Teddi has a white lab.

Some pictures from this weekend! Unfortunately the parade was canceled. Teddi was a Battalion Commander in the parade, the hat picture and she had a beautiful Saber also. A picture holding her Sisters hand! Now she has a week off to sleep and play with her dog!!! Enjoy!

Thank you Charlie. I send her a good morning text everyday. I included this today!

Hi Guys!, Been a while since I posted about Teddi. She is thriving at West Point. This weekend is parent/ Plebe weekend. She was honored with Battalion Commander for Plebe weekend. I'm just about ready to take off and spend the weekend! She is on the boxing team, absolutely loves it. I boxed when I was young and I taught her a few thing or two! She is in her second semester and learning the Russian language! This summer will be Air Born school at Fort Benning. It wasn't too long ago on a phone call she brought up all the cards and letters you guys sent her. The little things in life that mean the most! I'll post some pictures. We have a big fancy dinner Saturday night!

Cool article. I talked to an old timer once who witnessed the fires. My Father inlaw and Brothers were summoned by the Rangers at Indian lake to help fight a fire one hunting season.

Love it!

My first full winter up here. Been really mild, I'm very lucky. I have been working on the guest area above my garage. My dogs have been great on walks in the woods. They have learned not to run off and pretty much stick by my side. I also took a part time job at Lowes in Hornell. I'm there so often I might as well get paid! lol

I agree my brother has it and its not good.

Dr. just let me know he called in a prescription. I'll start taking it tomorrow just to be safe. Thanks

I need some opinions , on how much to charge for these

Really neat! 20-30 bucks? -
I remember getting that survey from the DEC every year. In fact I got the patch after ten years of reporting. I haven't gotten a survey in a while. Wonder if they still do it? Would be ideal for me now that I spend so much more time in the woods.

I have great habitat for game. Even our new farmer leaves standing corn for the critters in every field he plants. Plenty of hedgerows by me. I planted 300 white spruce years ago from the Saratoga nursery trees are beautiful!

Lock the thread up and you choose where you want to post. My God you must have better things to do.

This sounds so sad. Is there something we should be doing>? The DEC sends out all kinds of info but nothing on the lack of small game. Me thinks I email them.

So living full time at my hunting property I get to hit the woods so much more. What is so disappointing is the lack of small game. I just spent 3 hrs shed hunting with the dogs. We did not see 1 critter. I can remember flushing 2-3 grouse and seeing a bunny or two. Is it a bad cycle they are in or too many predators? My pups in a field!

No idea

Hey thanks for asking. I feel fine and only have a small red spot where the bite was. All good thanks!
-
I said the other day the dogs had a few on them. Went to shower this morning and saw one burrowed into my side under my arm. Small guy and came out pretty easy head and all. Red spot the size of a dime on my skin. Cleaned it up and I'll keep an eye on it.

I was cocking my crossbow during season with wet boots on. It slipped from my feet half cocked. Hit me right in the jewels. ouch!

Correction not "everyone" is leaving! lol Plenty of us still around. I don't even know the name of it and really don't care. I do miss some of the members that left us. It happens no big deal. Someone said the other day there is a lot less bickering going on since some particular departures, I agree. Off topic but went shed hunting with the pups yesterday. Watch the ticks they are out in force!

I had the garage built on property this year. I emailed the insurance company and they told me you have coverage for the building in your policy. I let a couple of weeks go by and something just didn't seem right so I called. I had insurance for a separate garage but only up to 14K. I was like the foundation cost that! We changed the policy and now Im covered for full replacement on the garage. The additional cost per month was about 22 bucks. Very good advice Steve thanks.
