From Saturday to the evening hunt Sunday 9 new scrapes were opened up. Here is one of them. Glad to see this action starting even with the warm temps!

It's a monolithic slab. Goes from a foot around the edges to 4 inches in center. Rebar all throughout.

My first deal fell through and thought it wouldn't be built until next spring. When buying the tractor the owner gave me the name of a contractor that specializes in barns/garages. Called and he had a window to build so I took it. 24 x 32 Gambrel style. Big 4 x 4 windows, 16' overhead door and 1 exterior door. Board and Baton siding. 10' walls. Green metal roof to match my house. Stairs to the loft that will be a finished room for guests. Exciting to see the walls go up today!

Just a little update on Teddi. She is thriving at WP. All her classes are going well with the exception of Russian. Why she took Russian her first year is beyond me. She likes challenges. She is a member of the Sandhurst team. ( Sandhurst was started in 1967 when RMAS presented West Point with a British Officer's sword to use as the prize for a competition to promote military excellence. It wasn't until 1975 that the competition began to resemble its current form with teams taking part in different challenges to test their military skills.) Last week she was Cadet of the week. We have been having a ball at the football games Tailgating and feeding at times 15 Cadets. It has been a wonderful experience. Go Army beat Navy!

Just got in from tracking a bear the last three hours. Neighbors granddaughter shot it around 5:00. They thought it was a good shot. Good blood in the beginning then started to peeter out. Would keep on finding blood but much further out than last. Spent 3 hours they will go back in the am. It wash scratching a tree when she shot, probably grazed the chest is my guess.

I got down early last night after a doe and fawn came by. She was big and gave me 3 chances to shoot but I passed. She stopped didn't like something and blew up the woods snorting. Should of shot her. lol So im walking out at 6:30 and hit my power lines. I mowed it this year and the deer seem to love it. I look down maybe 100 yards again an adult doe. She sees me and runs straight at me 3/4 the way up and stops. We had a stand off for 10 minutes and I had enough, I waved at her said goodby and she just stood there watching me. Something is in the water lol

Had 11 does and two small bucks walk past my stand. 3-4 of them in shooting range. All headed to the corn. I know where I'm going to be in the AM!
