    Didn't hunt today. Sick went to urgent care then moved wood for the stove. I'm in Ohio Friday - Sunday my brother is watching my dogs. We might have 8" of snow Thursday night.

    Yes I believe they are. Have taken a few and with a gun the die right there.

    Last few time I bought ammo I had to wait three hours. Now I left and came back the next day but that doesn't work for some people.

    So they shut down giving out DMP tags. Now the list comes out for areas that will open up for extra tags. 8P was not on the list. Do you know DEC sent everyone that I know including out-of-state hunters an extra DMP for 8P. They did it late also, my brother was here and when he got home it was in the mail box. Something aint right in DEC land.

    I felt the same way about this year. Missed a few big ones. Opening day I punched my tage on a decent 6 nothing great. I just had a feeling I better shoot this deer. He was chasing a doe under my stand for 10 minutes. He never grunted but the Doe was making a wheezing noise I really have never heard. I shot him she walked off a few yards and just looked at me catching her breath.

    Sat in a stand for last two hours so quiet and nothing came by.

    Buddy shot a 6 pt yesterday morning. Came right in to a Tinks bottle. Nice deer!

    I shot a 6 pt chasing a doe. Not ideal but I figured as the season went it was the right thing. Nephew shot his first buck a two point! lol We took them to the processor tonight man there are some real nice bucks in there. Oh and I shot a big button buck last hour of bow season.

    Took a button buck last night. My mistake thought it was a small does Mom. Texted my brother for the quad and three racked bucks were together coming through the woods. Crazy stuff.

    My neighbor next door has a camp and a lot of people come in from Maryland. Some of them were denied doe permits when buying license. They (2) just got letters in the mail along with doe permits. 8P did not have any left over, how this happens no idea.

    Hunted close to there years ago. In Roscoe had a place on Morton Hill. Great state land hunting!

    Few small bucks tonight thats it. Plan is to hunt Thursday afternoon and do Friday morn and afternoon.

    Yesterday knocked the crap out of me. Thought I would be able to get up again for a 2 hr hunt didn't happen. I'll hunt the next three afternoons and hang up the bow. Except for that day of Oct 8th seeing that bachelor group of 5 bucks its been pretty quiet. Good luck guys!

    Got out for 2 hrs this morning. Saw two half racks squaring off in front of me. The little one scared off the big one it was funny. The food plot on lease property hadf a lot of Doe in it this morning. At 10:09 big 10 pt showed up looking for them! Nice to see the big boys again.

    Weather looks much better and Steve will make the weekend. So 6 hunters for us. All set!

    My brother is here at my house for a couple of weeks. I can let it lay and track it later in the day or have him look for it. Calling in sick is an option but I love my co workers too much to pick up my slack. It is an option though! lol
