  1. hanging up the trusty mossberg 500 this year and trying a new gun. the stogers 2000 12 gauge semi auto. just wanted to se what people think about this gun from their own personal experiences
  2. i use to do that for years until they came out with earth cover scent it smells just like dirt i spray my clothes with that and toss them into a bag then i spray myself with it befor i walk to my stand and when i get to my stand.
  3. my buddy got a full body mount it looks sweet
  4. i bought a stoger 2000 12 gauge semi auto a couple months ago just wanted to see if any one else uses this gun and what they think about it. ive always used my mossberg 500 12 gauge pump
  5. ive made my comment incase you cant see. i enjoy spot lighting like ive said maybe you should open your eyes. also ill hit the like button on something that i agree with why i am gonna write the exact same thing as some one else. there will always be peple out there that spot light deal with it and move on.
  6. very well said i love spot lighting use to to do it all the time when i was a teenager and gas was .99cents a gallon me and a couple of buddys would take the hr and a half drive out to the southern tier and enoy spotting the fields. we always turned the light of well before the houses and befor any vehicles made it close to us. ive never had any problems with any land owners or anything also me and my friends have never poached a deer.
  7. i have always enjoyed spot lighting on state land and other private lands that i do not hunt. i have plenty of friends that also like to spot light none of us are poachers its perfectly legal know where the houses are and turn your lights off so you dont disturb anyone. really there are so many people on these forums that cry about the dumbest things. ok you dont spot light who cares i spot light who cares. hunters will always argue and fight against one another thats the major problem with our sport.
  8. im gonna be hunting in 8m this weekend but im thinking about going out to 9f next week for a day during the week clarence/akron area
  9. franklinville has some really impressive bucks the biggest ive ever seen in the woods while hunting was in franklinville less then 2 miles from case lake i love it out there.
  10. im 30 years old ive been hunting since i was 16 years and i can honestly say that ive seen atleast a dozen that were 140 or better the last one i seen was 3 years ago i can remember the date lol it was november 3rd i was huntingin letchworth park i hadnt seen anything that morning but spoke to a park cop after my morning hunt he said the bucks wree chasing all over the park i left the park and went to a farm that i hunt a few miles down the road cutting threw a huge over grown field i had to sto in the middle of the field for over an hr 6 bucks were chasing one doe back and forth threw the field never coming closer then 60 yards finally i decided i would try to stalk where i last seen them go into a ver small hedge row. as soon as i got to the hedge row a a very impressive perfect 5x5 10pointer stood up 50-60 yards away he stepped into the wide open fresh cut corn field for what seemed like 20 plus minutes never came any closer finnally i took a step and off he went. i wouldve put him in the 150s he was a beast.
  11. i think it was careless for the guy not to wear a harness up in a stand that high or for any hieght for that matter but i really think the way some of you people are calling him a moron and other names is really out of line. what if he has family that are members of this site and they are reading this how do you thin they would feel. another hunter had a fatal accident why cant be just be compationate some times and stead of crap talking even if it could have been prevented. thats the problem with so many of us hunters these days hunters are always trash talking about one another in some way or form about how some one hunts why does some one shoot a small deer why would you take that shot. people can have conversationa about all these different topics and so many more with out being hurtful or way out of line.

im with doewhacker from what i can make out of the pic it looks good is it a video or pic? from what i can tell looks like where i hit mine last week high but caught both lungs stuck in the opposite leg he didnt even take one step he fell in his tracks and lights out. give him some time and you should be able to find him.
  13. i had target panic real bad for a long time what always helped me was while target shooting walk up to the target about 5 yards away close your eyes draw the bow back keep your eyes closed and release do this a hand full of times it really helped meout alot.
