A Sad Message From My Senator
Lever action replied to Steve D's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Cuomo is trying hard to top California as the biggest s*** hole in the Country. I'm leaving this state in 2 or 3 yrs and I know others who are too.I just don't see any hope for this state and can't afford to wait and hope things will get better. -

There is going to come a time( and I believe soon) that the dems are going to run out of the" other people's money" and then wait and see what happens. -

I donated, It's growing fast but has a long way to go. -
My wife and I decided we're outa here in 3 or 4yrs. We've had enough of this arrogant, pompous tyrant. This state is never going to get any better. I always tried to be optimistic that things will get better but I'm getting to the age where I can't afford to keep waiting . I decided to move to a state that had everything I wanted, so I just bought 75 acres of prime whitetail habitat in southern Ohio.Plan to retire down there in 3 or 4 yrs.

Lever action replied to Just Lucky's topic in CrossBow Hunting
Finally after freezing my arse off all week (19 this morning) it paid off. Shot her at 10yds , double lung, complete pass through, she ran 75yds. Easy drag with all the snow. This deer is extra special as it is the 1st deer I have shot on my new property.- 15 replies

I have this week off and the 1st 3 days of gun.Been hunting my new property with the cross bow and had a big 8pt come within 15yds of me but no clear shot. The weather is going to get pretty cold the rest of the week and could get some significant snow fall also.My gun stand is ready and my 30/30 is ready to put some venison on the ground. In the mean time I'm still trying to get one with the cross bow.Good luck everyone and be safe!

Sad Day for NYS!
Lever action replied to DirtTime's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I feel my vote doesn't even count anymore in this state.Looks like Claudia Tenney may even lose.Don't know if I can handle another 4 yrs of Cuomo. I hope to retire in 4yrs and my wife and I have decided were outa here. -
Just got back from the woods , I put the seat cushions and the camo skirts on the 2 ladder stands on my new property that I bought this year. The deer sign looks good and I am pumped.

I agree, I caught a skunk once and shot it with a 22, came back later and spooked a couple of turkey vultures from it. It was almost completely gone.

Unfortunately we were unable to keep the deer. I 'm a truck driver and was on the road when my wife called about the deer. Couldn't believe it but since then 2 more deer have been hit in front of our house. There are a lot of houses in our neighborhood but there is a corn field out back that's attracting the deer.I put one of my trail cameras in our back yard and had over 200 pics in 1 week and there was 3 different bucks, but all during the night. Thanks for the comments.

A couple of weeks ago my wife was leaving our house to take our daughter to school, when she opened the front door a buck was laying dead on our front steps. He was hit by a pickup truck about 4:30 am and then ran into the front of our house , in which he put one of his horns through our new vinyl siding, then he ran into my wife's car and died at the base of our front steps. Nothing like having venison delivered right to your house by the deer itself.LOL

How much Land do you own ?
Lever action replied to JR60's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
I just bought 16 acres of of mature forest with some wetland that is bordered on 2 sides by 9,000 acres of state land and the other 2 sides by a large dairy farm. A perfect setup which I hope to make even better by having the land logged this summer.
