When you give the government more power in an emergency, the government will create emergencies to achieve more power.

When the government tells us they are making the world a better place, just remember they ruined gas cans. -
So you're a prepper anticipating armageddon? Good for you. But life in America is good? Counterintuitive, isn't it?
-
Just Lucky may not know just how lucky he is. But not having to worry about most of America will make you feel life is pretty good. Just hope the devastation happening in the much of the country doesn't eventually make it out to your part of the country.

The Hypocrisy Continues
Grouse replied to Shoots100's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
The removal of statues is only one of the ways the left is trying to alter or rewrite history. Look at CRT and leftist indoctrination in our nations universities. And it's being done to change the mindset of younger generations to instill hatred of their country in their hearts. Anyone who can't see where this is headed is just in denial of the goal. If you have grandchildren, you should be concerned for their future. The goal is also to get the minorities to hate today's majority, who are demonized as controlling and privileged. Working hard and being successful is now considered oppressive to those who don't. Tolerance of leftist lunacy will not turn out well for the majority in the future. -

Let's not forget this statue was in front on the American Museum of Natural History and Teddy is still considered the premier Conservationist in all of American history. If he's not appreciated there, we have a big problem here. -

Floyd is part of American history, including his lengthy rap sheet and prison record, but Roosevelt needs to be removed? God Help America. -

The Weather Channel rolls live no matter what happens. LOL! -
There are usually about 8 to 10 political parties represented on every ballot. But they fail to gain enough support because they fail to sell the citizens on their effectiveness. What ever happened to the Bull Moose Party. As hunters, we should all be supporting that party.

The Hypocrisy Continues
Grouse replied to Shoots100's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
It should've been appreciated where it was appreciated for years. Removing it is an attempt to put Roosevelt "out of sight, out of mind" and at taxpayer expense I might add. It's a terrible insult to the man and his family, all he did for the country and for history in general. What we are seeing is hatred for America beginning to gain popularity among people who are gullible enough to believe it should be hated. How can anyone believe this will make the country a better place? Obama promised to "transform" America. Nobody ever questioned what would be transformed. Democrats are moving forward with that plan. We are now seeing what was intended. Do you like what you see being transformed? I certainly don't. -
I agree with the first paragraph 100%. In the 2nd paragraph, everything you mentioned is the result of leftist Democrat policies Conservatives have been fighting against for years. You may think you cannot be heard, but the more people involved in working against those polices, the more a leftist administration hears you. Local involvement is essential too, but local issues do not affect national issues that tend to have greater effects on the economy and individual freedom.

If you didn't notice major positive differences in all of these areas while Trump was President, you either weren't paying attention or were only listening to CNN and MSNBC.

I already answered this question as to why the two are absolutely related. Misdirection and deflection is the sign of knowing you have lost the debate.

Moving in the right direction. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) today announced the start of a new moose research project in the Adirondack region. This winter, 14 moose were fitted with GPS collars as part of a multi-year project assessing moose health and population. https://www.dec.ny.gov/press/124596.html?fbclid=IwAR1gWHQR5dAN91WXibK5cFr67_46QbeXxp8HtOyXm9QYOPb2ZnixWpGxzX0

Maybe we don't know that. But I know that.

Like he said. It's very hard arguing with irrational people.

Well gas prices wouldn't be at this level, no mandatory vax would be firing people and I don't think the supply chain issue would be continuing. Russia, China and North Korea wouldn't be walking all over him and inflation wouldn't be spinning out of control because of inept monetary policy. Just my opinion, but I think it's justified.
-
I'm sorry Chef, but you really crack me up. LOL!
-
Not when people can point to hardship in their life as a direct result of a government policy, like getting fired from your job, losing your firearm rights, or paying more for gas and higher taxes. It's not that they are blaming them so much as they are fighting to stop them. Many people were doing fantastic in the 1920's and never thought the good times would end. Guess what happened because of government monetary policies nobody was paying attention to. Nobody is paying attention to many things today as well.

LOL! I'm not married lefty. Does your mindset always think on a 2nd grade level? Is that how you perceive the eternal vigilance our founders asked of us? I have your comments on ignore for a reason and I need to remind myself not to open them. It is ruining my faith in the IQ level of many Americans.

Election integrity is the answer to this problem. There were too many things changed by the left in the 2020 election, too many issues regarding fraud, illegal ballots and vote counting, to unequivocally say it was legit. Just looking at who supposedly won should be enough to give anyone pause. The Democrats currently oppose voter ID, but demand it for a COVID test. They say count every vote, but protest when told to only count every legal vote. They demand unverifiable mail in ballots, in addition to already trusted absentee ballots. How do people not see this is a desire to cheat? The Democrats are currently trying to push a "voter's rights" bill through that would allow all of those issues to continue forever and keep them in power forever. They claim they are working to stop voter suppression, yet have never been able to prove anyone has ever been prevented from voting by any of the current laws. That "voter's right" bill is a corruption of voting rights and it will actually nullify opposing legal votes by cancelling them out with illegal ones. That would destroy the country right there. That's not doom and gloom. That's a fact.

The Hypocrisy Continues

No, people brought it to the public's attention, a light was shined on it and many things changed there, so you cannot say they did nothing. If they had done something, would you have supported it? If so, why didn't you do something about it? Or were you looking for them to protest like they did on 1/6/2021 so you could shame them? But you are right that isn't the debate here. One person CAN make a difference, but the cases where they did, compared to the millions of cases where they didn't and maybe even paid dearly for trying, are many. People risk a lot when they stand up to the government, especially when they go it alone. However, the fact still remains, people should be encouraged to be heard. To choose to belittle and shame them for it, tantamount to taking the side of the one's against them, is worse than them doing nothing about it. I, on the other hand, I will stand up with people who are standing up against injustice without being asked to, or told it's none of my business. That's what grassroots support is all about. I stand with Shoots 100 on this issue.
