  1. I've picked up two over the years, both times I was told take it and someone will stop by my house to issue a tag when they had time...which they did, neither was worth the effort.
  2. I always stay in stand for 30 minutes regardless of the hit, climb down quietly, inspect the arrow and make my decision from there.....but yeah, a lost deer is a lost deer whether it be to weather, coyotes or a bad hit. I would never climb down right away and go to the hit site, many deer will bed right down and that commotion can send them packing.
  3. I may be wrong, but I don't believe it's an attractant as in a scent they follow........I smear it on the trees around my stand and I think it more or less gives them the impression that it's a "safe" area.
  4. welcome to my world.....we've been dealing with the piers under our cabin shifting and moving every year, absolute nightmare .
  5. yup, I remember it and used it quite often, can't say much about it.........Evercalm is exactly what you said, and it's pretty much the only scent I'll spend money on because I've had good results every time I've used it and had deer close.
  6. that's why I stopped picking it up when I find it......
  7. I don't use it, if tracking I'll use toilet paper that's biodegradable..............I find myself collecting pockets full of that orange tape that people leave behind.
  8. sorry.......I posted that for the grownups.
  9. I say give it your best shot before you start sucking some other substance into your lungs to replace it........nothing you can't do if you really want......toughest part is if having a drink brings the craving on, it was with me so I gave that up too. I lost about 30 pounds and feel great because of it.
  10. I think it's a bad idea.....most likely isn't good enough, nor is hopefully getting in a follow up shot. It kinda sounds like you're going out with something you already know isn't a great choice.
  11. Manner of Taking It is illegal to take or hunt wildlife: • While in or on a motor vehicle (except by special permit—see page 14) • With the aid of a vehicle’s lights • On or from any public road • With any firearm equipped with a silencer • With any firearm which continues to fire as long as the trigger is held back (an automatic firearm) • With any semi-automatic firearm with a capacity to hold more than 6 rounds, except: 1. Firearms using .22 or .17 caliber rimfire ammunition, or 2. Firearms altered to reduce their capacity to no more than 6 shells at one time in the magazine and chamber combined, or 3. Autoloading pistols with a barrel length of less than eight inches
  12. I smoked my last one back in January, cold turkey and so far zero problems or cravings........you can do it. In the beginning I replaced it by drinking ungodly amounts of water and coffee to replace the need to do something, but eventually I reduced the coffee intake and now I'm even down to one or two cups of that a day as well.
  13. you can can load that sucker sucker right to the top.........throw a few extra magazines in your bag as well, but make sure you top them off first.
  14. that sounds familiar, I can't picture it....was it in Margaretville?
  15. I use that scent killer stuff on my hands, head and face before I start grabbing my stand and gear and once again once I'm settled in, hasn't hurt so far.
  16. I would think around 165ish and up is a big deer.......you start hitting 200lbs+ and that's a huge deer for NY, and that's dressed.
  17. definitely not an error, I've seen cashiers pull all kinds of scams to steal from customers and their employers as well.
  18. I shoot 1" groups at 75 yards all day long........granted it's only a one arrow group, but I do it.
  19. spin shots and blood lose will get them every time...no what I mean?
  20. one question, latex gloves or no latex gloves when you change your oil?
