I said from the beginning it does not matter to me either way. But it seems to me that the way your acting and your nonsense statements has me believing you are the one being selfish. I am starting to agree with the other side of the coin " take your kids with you, you dont need a special weekend" . I am starting to think lowering the age all together makes more sense. I find it also after talking to 16 yr olds and 17 year olds a little BS that this works against them bigtime.

And I am not taking somebody elses kid. I really would not want that responsibility . It would have to be family or a real close friend.

And in this crazy world we live in I am the only one taking my kids out hunting with a firearm. I do not trust anyone with my kids, especially with firearms.

There are rifles and shotguns in the woods, Am I missing something? Please don't be one of those guys that are talking about birdshot and .22s and comparing them to high powered rifles.

I do see the potential for danger with the rifles or shotguns in the woods that time of the year but i do not think there are gonna be that many people in the woods. If they were moving reg season to oct thats a different story, that would be a disaster but we are not talking about that. And to be honest with you WNYBuckhunter you look to be the one stirring the pot. Everytime someone brings a valid point to the argument you go crazy.

Ist off guys I dont think there will be that many people in the woods if there is a special season. How many hunters have 14 and 15 yr olds that have licenses? I think it is like 1 percent of the hunting population. I honestly think there will be more poachers that weekend than kids in the woods. I really think it should be the 2 days before reg season because that would really get the kids pumped. If that does not get them pumped than nothing will. As for calling guys trolls and telling people there stupid, come on guys really. I watched 2 guys almost get into a fistfight over this BS two weeks ago at my gunclub.
