  1. Years back when we redid the kitchen , and all the old cabnets and such were piled at the road for pick up, I helped the garbage man and under the last one was a 12 pack for him . After that I could have left dead bodies and he would have taken them . My Mail man is great and always tosses a biscuit to our dog, he gets a tip . Our adult paperboy also gets a nice tip . My paper is placed at my door, my neighbors get tossed out of his car window and maybe half way up his driveway ..... Back when I was a paperboy people who did not tip got the torn or wet papers , or if I was shorted none at all . Every time I pass a Red Kettel bell ringer I always give .

So I went on a search for DFH Pennsylvania Tuxedo, and although a display guy at East Ave Wegmens told me that Eastway Wegmens has it, they did not . In my search I Came across this, which for a guy who, thinks fruit is pushing it , is a bit much, but the oldest daughter is a peanut butter " nut" so,I grabbed some . Not sure if I'll try it tonight or not ......
  5. It's part of the gentrification taking place there .... It appears to be a buck minus one antler.

I'm a big Genny supporter , and after our " last day in " many from the dept. can found at their Brew Pub, however Genny white can and Cream ale are good house beers but far from their best , let alone comparable to today's craft beers. I recommend Genny's , Winter Warmer if you want a really good Genny product , it's 9 % ABV so be careful ! I almost fell out of my chair when he ordered a Genny Cream ale, that movie was set in Philly, where Genny Cream Ale has a cult like following , believe it or not . As far as I know it won two Gold medals at , The Great American Beer Festival .
  8. Nice job B&B and co. !! You guys cleaned up this season , I'll have a better morning stand for you next year if you want to,meet up again.....
  9. It's easy , I'm sitting by gas fireplace under a blanket , drinking black coffee and thinking about shed hunting in few months .
  10. Out of likes . Congrats Cynthiafu and Nyhillybilly !!
  11. Here's a few I've used over the years, some just once or twice as I like show anything from a Swiss Army knife to a large FB can be used if need be . The Stockman and Trapper see most use these days , the Trapper did three this year and needs a cleaning edge is still fine, but I'll do a couple passes on the Spyderco White stones .
  12. I'm just glad they took the gun back , I couldn't get that darn thing to group at all and kept getting FTF and keyholes too !!! I like how how a crowd gathered , angry people wth a gun .... Go the other way ! Like I told my kids when they were young , " you see a fight or one about to start , go the other way ." Very often onlookers become involved wether they wish to or not .

  14. Good job Zeek ! Interesting that the buck was late for work !
  15. Airedale,I hear you many of the American makers traditional knives have gone under , but many great ones have emerged , or are still here, although not makers of " traditional " knives . Benchmade , Spyderco , ZT, Kershaw, Buck, Ka Bar, Ontario ,Bear, Emerson, Esee , SOG, Micro tech , Case and Gerber still make at least some here, although Gerber knives are not what they were back in the day. Tons of great mid-techs too . Strider and Rick Hinderer basically can't keep up,with demand and they run $400 - $500 and up . I've got four of those.... its a sickness !
  16. Thanks for posting . My check gets out tomorrow .
  17. Pygmy, a few years ago I could not find it and I was heart broken . Turns out it was in a chair here at home ! I must have come in from hunting , reclined in the chair and it slid out of my pocket and into the chair . After that it became a safe queen , although I feel it may be time to bring her out again .
  18. Great topic ! The Bell, I made in kindergarten 52 years ago..... Basically we put our name on it in glitter . Each year I'd pull it out and say "kids did I ever tell you about this bell...." The ceramic fireman one of my kids made for me , sorry I forget which . Now the star. That was part of a chain where you remove a link each day and when the last link is removed you have just the star left on Christmas Day. Well the date on the star is 2,004 , somehow when we took down the decorations that year we missed the star. It been up ever since and I forbid anyone to touch it !!!!
  19. Bit of a knife guy, own customs and a ton of factory blades, even had an article on knives published in ,Tactical Gear magazine , appeared in Blade magazine a couple times. Ive used a ton of knives through the years to gut deer. My Schrade LB7 ( Buck 110 clone) has been retired , as it dressed my first buck, rode on my side as I canoed the Yukon River , hiked the canyons of Arizona and many many other adventures ! To much history to risk loss at this point . I had to have a Puma Whitehunter as its a classic , used it a few times . Mostly I use a Old Timer Stockman, ( carbon steel ) although this year I used a Case Trapper 3 times in fact ! Sorry no pics. Just got off nights and hunted today , I not getting out of this recliner .....
  20. You mean blame.... ive barely used this stand , and I used a scent drag upwind , might as well give it a go
  21. Bit windy here ! At least still snow cover . In a stand some newbie says I should sit in , as he saw fresh buck sign . Since he's done well his first couple years, I'm giving it a shot .
