  1. Congratulations, she sure seems like a keeper.
  2. I use Muck Woody Max. With wool socks, they do it just fine.
  3. I just hunted for grouse specifically during the last week. I went out three different days. I saw nothing the first two days. Only a few small song birds. The last day I flushed two grouse. It was so thick where they were I could only hear them, not see them, and they were pretty close. A very challenging bird to hunt. I was using a 12 ga with 7 1/2 shot. A 20 ga with the same size shot goes sometimes.
  4. I have a Marauder .22 pcp. It is a great air rifle. 10 shot clips. It is very quiet. It will take rabbits and squirrels all day. It will do all you ask of it if you pair it with a good scope. Benjamin is a Crosman brand. Made here in NY in East Bloomfield. Some of the Benjamin line is made here, some overseas. I think these are made here.
  5. Same here. Seemed like a good deal at the time. Still does.
  6. Here is my shorter range combo. Henry Big Boy and Smith and Wesson 629. Both in .44 magnum.
  7. I use my Marauder in .22 caliber. It is quiet and accurate. I use the pump and it gives a little work out, but not too bad. The .25 Marauder, I was told, is not friendly to the pump and you need the tank system. I also have the Discovery in .22 cal. It is disappointing in performance. I could not get it to group worth a darn. The Marauder is no comparison. It's great.
  8. I am hunting in Central NY and the Central Adirondacks. I have hunted off and on and enjoy all types of hunting so far. I like to try and use my Benjamin Marauder Air rifle on small game. I recently found this site and hope to gain some knowledge here.
