Here's a LIST of some close to Albany, NY

I average 2 to 3 straps per stand on different sections of the ladder. Makes it much easier to put up and take down stand

I'm the same way, but I bet for everyone like us there's ten guys who dropped off their animal and have no idea how they're going to pay for it when the time comes.
You hit the nail right on the head right there.

Looks good, nice deer mounts there. I'm jealous of your workspace.

There must be a secret rule to becoming a taxidermist that says you must bitch over the caping job.....
Poor caping job CAN result in a poor mount. If the taxidermist capes it then he or she will have no excuse or anyone to bitch too.
Now if anyone aint sure on how to cape you could do what someone did to me last season. Although I don't advise it. LOL

"The state has put a cost to this… where a dealer can charge up to $10 dollars for a background check. But it may cost us up to $20 to do a background check, in man hours and keeping the records and all that kinda stuff…it's going to cost a store money to do a background check."
And it wouldnt surprise me to see the big chains waive this fee so they can compete with other ammo dealers and keep ammo sales rolling, otherwise ammo sales in NY will die out real fast.

I used the Salon care 40% peroxide paste mixed with some whitening powder. Put a coat on with brush, let it dry a few hours then put on another coat, let dry then I think i lightly rinsed off the extra and was done.
I hope you washed that stuff all off or you won’t have a skull left in a few years. In the future apply one good coat, then wrap with saran wrap and place it in front of a heat source (wood stove, space heather, pellet stove) for about 20 minutes rotating it allowing it to heat up. Without heat your bleaching solution is pretty much useless. Then remove the wrap and submerge entire skull in water followed by a good rinse to remove the chemicals. Always wear gloves when handling that stuff as it will cause permanent damage to your nervous system if it enters it.
Also be sure that you degrease those skulls good or you’re going to have serious issues down the road.

Where are we getting this $10 fee for background ammo checks from? Where is that written where it will apply to ammo?

So whats the deal now with the 7 round limit? The judge stiked it down but I dont think we have more then 7 rounds in our mag still. Is there still another process?

You don't need a bow hunting license to hunt in Westchester for deer.
X-Calibur Lighting Systems
You dont need to have taken a bow hunter ed course to hunt deer in Westchester with bow ???
-
You have taken a NY hunter ed course right? Being in NYC I'd look into getting a bowhunting license since Westchester is just north of you.

That really bites!
Remount complete.

From one NY taxidermist to another, your deer mounts are outstanding. Glad to see quality work being represented from your neck of the woods.
