Congrats. I wish I had deer standing in my back yard. that would be sweet. well actually they are there, just not in the day time.

Like others i don't nock an arrow in the dark, but the mid day walk to and from I nock one.

So i marked up this satellite image of where im hunting for your remarks. I put a stand up out behind my house that I can go out to every morning. but on more than one occasion i have jumped deer that were bed down in the fields between my house and my stand. I have lots of trailcam pictures of deer right in front of my stand but I have only seen 2 Doe on one day while hunting from it. dunno if I'm scaring them off on my way in or in they are just winding me before i even see them. I did have one sneak up behind me and wind me, made a wheeze and ran off before i even saw what it was. What do you think?

So this weekend I went to my friends camp in the southern tier and Saturday evening he ended up getting his first deer with a bow, a doe. But today I went out to my stand that is behind my house and sat there all morning and then before I left I swapped out the SD card and went home disappointed seeing no deer this morning. Then I was shocked at what I saw on the card from sunday morning... Since I was in the southern tier. Like I told my wife, I probably would have shot the doe and never have even seen the rest of the deer pictured.
