That's awesome Virgil ! At leat brant is open again cause I have been seeing a Ron this year got 1 brant on opening day and been seeing them all over I think that's what I will targeting sat and sun

Nice shooting on the gaddies !! Yeah I think your spot on we need a little winter !! I actually managed to hit a drake and hen long tail in the manhasset bay !! They usually don't come into bay so that was a nice surprise but that was it and only saw a very few flights of bills oh well just have to wait for some weather to move them

I have been having a really slow season I am not seeing the rafts of bluebills that I usually see no scoters not much of anything except brant witch is closed for now I live in western nassau so I hunt the sound

Thanks guys for the info I am still waiting on the n.shore western nassau for the birds to show up its been slow ton of brant !! But that's closed for now only a few bills and a ton of buffles. I guess I won't waste time out east

Where can I find these shells I duck hunt almost every morning and I am getting low I have been to a few place on Long Island but can only find #4's ????

Got the same email and have a batch with the numbers listed i tried to call several times and only a msg comes up to leave a msg but then says voice mail is full and to call back I will try Monday then start writing letters !!!

Thanks to li outdoorsman for the my duck stamp. I was able to hunt today and what a day it was 60 deg and the blue bills were flying like I never saw before it was great I did a limit on then in 20 min had a few buffleheads and a drake merganser oh and 1 green head ( mallard) what a day especially for the 1st all year I love the ducks

Thank you li outdoorsman I will be picking it up thur am I called and spoke to a very nice women (sorry I forgot her name) and was told it was on hold for me. This is a great store that I have been to many times and now I know the have the duck stamps. They have made my season ! I was really stressing out for a while thank u again

I will drive anyplace to get it my boat is in water and I am dying to go hunt !!! It's really driving me crazy I never had a problem getting it I have been trying to get it since before thanksgiving !!! Also I did order one from USPS and was sent an email that it was sent out nov 30 but I have not received it and it's almost impossible to get a answer from the post office or to get a live person on the phone

Yes it is very frustrating I don't have the time to drive to every post office on Long Island and the season is well under way just don't know what to do???

Please someone help me I am so frustrated I have been trying to get a federal duck stamp so I can go hunting I have never had a problem before getting one. I have tried many post offices in my area I tried dicks all sold out I also tried to order direct from usps and was told they sent it out on 11/30/13 and I still have not received it yet ??? Now I am waiting for them to respond to emails hopefully Monday. I just want to hunt like I have done in the past ?

When does the season start on li sound is it oct 17 or nov 28 I live on n.shore of Long Island and hunt from boat not sure of the language in the special sea duck area for li anyone know thanks for any info
